Lovely location & great staff
Lovely part of the Cotswold and this hotel is in the perfect location - just steps away from the river. The breakfast was lovely and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the bed in our room was very uncomfortable. It was far too springy and felt lumpy. The room also looked nothing like the photos - ours was absolutely tiny. I think the nicer rooms are in the main building, but we were placed in the wing of the hotel.

Fantastic hotel!
We stayed for one night at the Dial House this week. It is a fabulous old building in the centre of Bourton-on -the-water. The room was great-it was an "economy room" as all the others were taken however it was clean, the bed was very comfy, the en suite was just right. The whole room was spotless, lovely towels and lots of tea and coffee-making supplies. I managed to leave my bag outside on the patio (complete with wallet and cards inside)after a beer in the setting sun. Next morning it was handed back to me after an early panic in reception. They had found it that evening and placed it in a cupboard ready to return to me in the morning. What stars!!! Thanks for a lovely stay and we will be going back.

Central, comfortable and characterful. The staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and there was always someone available to deal with the guests. The restaurant is popular so it's advisable to book but drinks and snacks are available throughout the day. The gardens front and back are accessible to guests and free parking is available on site.

Disappointed but location was beautiful
Tried to check in twice but too busy for us even though our room was 4 doors away from reception. Asked for something for our anniversary even if I had to pay as a surprise for my partner but no extra effort made. Girl on breakfast was lovely though. Won't stay again but the location was perfect.

Not quite what i expected...
Having looked at all the wonderful pictures of this very old building and the bedrooms it was a huge disappointment to find ourselves in a modern annex next door. Unfortunately I guess this annex was converted from a house and there was no soundproofing between upstairs and down. We shared the ups and downs of the couple in the room above us all night! The room, however was clean and very well presented.
