Inexpensive hotel. Safe and clean. No heat and wouldn’t turn on. Luke warm showers. The two combined made showering very uncomfortable especially for a vacation. But keep in mind price of hotel.

Worst hotel ever, no AC in a hot room, tiny creepy elevator, tiny beds, pillows flatter than a pancake and horrible customer service. Arriving to this hotel really ruined my first holiday in Rome, skip this if you can. There are plenty of hotels you can get for the price.

If I had been travelling on my own I would probably rate this hotel a 4 or 5 as it had everything I needed for a basic hotel on the edge of Rome. However, I was travelling with my friend who is a full time wheelchair user and this hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible and for her we'd rate it a 1 or 2 at most. The lifts to the upper floors were not wide enough for the wheelchair, nor were the doors into the first 2 rooms we tried. The third room we tried the door way into the bedroom was wide enough, but she could not get into the bathroom. We had requested a wheelchair accessible room when booking and had tried to confirm this with the hotel, but had no reply from them. At first the staff were not very helpful, until my friend had to sit on the floor of the lift and dismantle the wheelchair to get it into the lift. Eventually, they said we could use the service lift which was a bit wider and access the room through the cleaning cupboard. Access to the bathroom though was still not possible with the wheelchair.

Colony hotel
We had an okay stay at colony hotel. The rooms that were advertised were nothing like the room we got on arrival. The shower watered the floor more than it actually washed you! The hairdryer wasn’t working, the tv didn’t work and I’m sure one bed had bugs as I woke up the next morning with 5 bites on my body. One member of staff was lovely. He sorted some of the issues out. However when we arrived at the hotel the lady was very unwelcoming and unhelpful. We ended up checking out a night earlier as we couldn’t bare it anymore and wanted a proper shower!! We asked for a new room in which we were told there was none left despite finding some online. Overall I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Sadly first day no air conditioning. Fixed. Then we had bees in our bathroom. Housekeeping said they fixed the problem. More bees the next day. They tried blaming it on us as if we openes the window to the clearly seen nest. Said they couldn’t do anything for is and we needed to email the manager. Did twice no answer.
