The welcome from the receptionist was great and very helpful in giving us a guide to the city. I would like to thank Mr Alex and all his guests for their friendly welcome. The rooms were spacious and clean but the walls were rather thin, so it felt like people were right outside our room at one point, but they were upstairs, however you cannot fault the rooms and location for the price we paid.

Comfortable hotel in a quiet side street near the action of the Old Quarter. There was an issue with our room before we arrived but Alex and Mr Chinh, and the staff in general, were exceptional at communicating when our room would be available, and refunded appropriately. Comfortable bed, great size room, excellent wifi throughout hotel. Bathrooms show their age a bit but completely functional.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. Our room was very nice with a balcony and rose petals on the bed when we arrived. The shower wavered between too hot and too cold, I could never get it to stay at a good temperature. Breakfast was decent with many different dishes to choose from.

This hotel in Hanoi was our first introduction to Vietnam. We had a great time. The Lotus boutique hotel is a fine small hotel and the location of the hotel is an ideal starting point for discovering Hanoi. We booked the hotel via the internet and asked them if they could arrange overnight trips to Halong Bay and Sapa for us. When we arrived all our requests were above expectation. The staff is extremely helpful. We had a wonderful time with them.

Turned up to the hotel to find a building site and the hotel not open. We were transferred to a “sister” hotel, Splendid Star Boutique. Our room was very dirty, dust everywhere and hair on the floor beside the bed. The side lamp was broken so we could only have the main light on. The main head of the shower was broken, luckily there was a secondary head to use. We were supposed to be picked up to go to Ha Long Bay the next morning, receptionist seemed very reluctant to help us reschedule the pickup although it was done eventually. Not once did anyone apologise for anything. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, IT DOES NOT EXIST! I can’t believe it’s still being listed on the Expedia website. Numerous other customers have also had this same experience.

Unable to state anything about this hotel as we did not stop there. We arrrived to find it closed and like a building site. They did take us to another hotel called Lucky Hotel 3.Which was clean and tidy. I have been a customer of yours for many years and l would hsve thought you would have known about the hotel being closed. My wife was upset and thought we would have to go and find us another hotel R J Rogers

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights initially and returned after a trip to sapa for 1 more night. The staff including Mr Chin were all very friendly and helpful, accommodating us as much as possible when we needed to leave our bags for a few hours and shower to freshen up when we were not staying on that particular day. The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Hanoi but being down a side street you don’t have any of the noise from the city. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the free breakfast is good. All of the staff speak very good English which is helpful when needing to ask questions.
