Another great stay here
Having stayed here before, it was a straight forward choice to stay again special mention to a very helpful night porter on reception.

Good and bad
The hotel is modern and clean, it’s in a very rough area though where it doesn’t feel overly safe to go out. I also felt that asking the staff to do anything seemed like a chore to them. Very cold responses and when I called the bar enquiring about room service I got a very rude “no”. Also on the last day the receptionist made it overtly obvious she was annoyed that I asked her to get our bags out of the hotel secure room so we could get our plane. She was rude

Well worth a go..
Fantastic value for money. Hotel is modern in a relatively ‘quieter’ part of town, hard to define as it is adjacent to the main road along the main port road. 15-20 walk from Napoli Centrale. Food and drink good and at a very reasonable price. Breakfast spot on. Ticks all the boxes for a safe and comfortable stay at a good price.

Great hotel and friendly staff
Great hotel and lovely staff. Area is poor but close to station (5 mins walk) and to the edge of Naples town centre

Great value
Lovely hotel, great value. Very clean and location great for port and easy reach of the main train station and metro.

Very comfortable, good location
Nice clean comfortable hotel. We had a junior suite which had a lovely big terrace and a spa bath. There was a kettle in the room with plenty of tea but no coffee or milk. Breakfast was continental with bacon and scrambled egg. It’s lovated about 15 minutes walking to the train station where you can get the train to Pompeii and Herculaneum. There are plenty of restaurants within about a 10 minute walk a margarita pizza costs around 5€. DO NOT go to the restaurant a few doors down from the hotel called ristorante le Torre, they are very rude and quite aggressive and they rip you off. Look it up of trip advisor. Taxi to and from the airport is a fixed 22.50 € and takes around 20-30 minutes. We had a lovely stay.

Hotel great, staff great area cud have been better
Hotel was faultless, we were greeted on reception and checked in very easily we were a little early but that was no problem for them. The room was ideal for what we wanted, the breakfast was good and we found the food and drink relatively cheap in hotel. Only downside was the location, we did get a sea view however this was over a very ugly factory and several cruise ships, the hotel is convenient for the town about 5 minute walk away but make sure you plan this route using a map, we used Google Maps and the direct route can take you through some pretty rough lanes, we were not threatened but felt that I was on edge especially with my little one. I would probably stay here again, maybe use taxis a little more to get to and from for peace of mind.

Very Impressed with this hotel
very impressed with hotel, very modern inside, very good breakfast agree with many other reviews area around the hotel not the best, but the hotel itself makes up the for that. very helpful staff on reception, big shout out to the young man on the night reception

Well run hotel
Palazzo Salgar is a well run hotel, I was impressed by the staff. Pleasant and helpful and plenty of them particularly in the breakfast room where everything ran like clockwork The area is generally a bit run down but to be fair most of the Naples we saw could have done with a good clean and litter collection

Hotel like an oasis in the desert
stayed in Naples to visit mount Vesuvius and Pompeii, hotel was a 15 minute walk from train station. The hotel was not typical of the area we were in or had walked through to get there, it was clean, tidy and a shock to what we had seen on the way there. we had read reviews on Naples before going so chose carefully the area to stay in, but didn't expect to see as much rubbish and graffiti in the streets.
