Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville Franklin Cool Springs

This hotel was decent, but extremely noisy; the entire hotel was loud with fans and heating units. We had to swap rooms just after check-in due to the reverberations from the heating unit-we were left with headaches and earaches. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but the bathroom is located inside the bedroom. The kids had to come into the bedroom just to get to the bathroom. That was inconvenient, and I couldn’t tell by the pictures online. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was ok, and I liked that the lounge area was separate from the check-in-you had to walk out and around the corner.

Positives: Our bed and pillows were SO comfortable. One of the best. The breakfast was good and well stocked and replenished. Nice roomy suite. Great location to Franklin and downtown Franklin. Also to a Walmart which we needed. The shower was amazing! Best shower in a hotel ever! We would stay here again. Negatives: The person who checked us in couldn't answer our questions about things to do in Nashville as far as things to do and places to go. With a major city so close I would think that the hotel staff would be at least somewhat knowledgeable with that city. Also we would barely turn our hot water on in our sink and it would be scalding. We dealt with it over our 3 day stay but I did kindly report it upon checkout. The same person that checked us in and didn't have any information about Nashville also checked us out. She failed to give us a receipt. After we went to our car my husband had to go back in the hotel to get a receipt. Most hotels I've been at they put the receipt under your room door on the day your leaving.

Only thing that would have made it better was the breakfast could have been better, like better choices and not having to wait on plates once the paper plates were gone.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We visit Franklin often and decided to give this place a try because the rate for this particular weekend was better than where we typically stay. While the staff were helpful for the most part, the atmosphere as a whole wasn't inviting. When checking in, the clerk never told us about amenities like the pool, breakfast hours, wifi info etc. She only handed me a card holder with our room keys and a slip of paper with wifi info. The bedroom was very dark due to dark walls & poor lighting. We had a 2-bed suite. Other than task lights, the only overhead in the BR area was a dim CFL bulb in the ceiling fan. The fan itself did not work. Despite having the thermostat set to 68', the room never felt cool, & wasn't comfortable for sleep. The room could use a mirror in the living room area of the suite and perhaps another in the bedroom area so that multiple people can get ready at the same time. Also, there was NO exhaust fan of any kind in the shower/toilet area. Awkward w/ 4 people in one suite. We went down for coffee on the first morning of our stay and they were completely out of regular coffee, only decaf was available. It was a minor inconvenience, but still a bit surprising. On a positive note, the kitchen area in the suite was very nice and very clean. Overall, I would give this location about a C+. While it was clean, it was not what we are used to in Franklin and will go back to our usual place in the future.

At the moment of check in the front desk lady was helpful and polite. We were able to even check in early from our long trip. The beds were very comfortable. They were clean. Had everything we needed. Pool was great. Breakfast was really good. Nothing to complain about at all. If ever back in Franklin. I will stay here. If you don’t want to stay right in Nashville, I would suggest this hotel.
