I was left disappointed in having to wait over 20 minutes outside the door as no one picked up on the other side of the phone. The overall cleaning of the bathroom was disappointing with a horrible smell.

Location of the Hotel was excellent and all attractions were very accessible. Check in was quick and easy and the hotel provided luggage storage at the end of our stay to allow us to make the most of our last day. If returning to Venice we will definitely return to the Dimora Dogale

This is a bit of a paradox of a hotel. It's extremely basic, no facilities whatsoever outside of the room, worn and shabby, but the room itself was really nice, very nicely decorated in traditional Venetian style with particularly nice furniture. We were in a deluxe double canal view room, which was up two flights of stairs (no lift). Reception is often unmanned, but when someone is there they are helpful. You are effectively renting an en-suite room. If you are ok with that then it's a good place to stay. If you want other facilities that you might expect in a hotel, this isn't the place for you.

We were understanding in the beginning that we couldn’t get our money back after we switched our reservation to only one night after a family members passing. However, after the events that later transpired, we feel that we should be able to get a refund based on the way in which we were treated. When we arrived at the hotel yesterday morning we asked the receptionist about getting to the airport and she told us we had to do a water taxi. We figured that the joint as a whole would know a reputable company so we decided to use the people you knew rather than the person who dropped us off. We confirmed 3 times that we had a taxi scheduled for 5:45am and we were even given an alternate meeting location because of the low water. We walked there in the morning and arrived 15 means early. After waiting 15 minutes past the pick up time, we finally called the taxi and they were very rude and told us that our hotel never called and made a reservation for us. We then were left with no option and almost could have missed our flight. This is disgusting that we trusted their employee to get us a taxi and they simply never did and told us they did. Not only that but reception has limited hours so we were unable to even contact the property until 10 am that day. Simply after being put thru all this stress we then called and were told we should have cancelled sooner. Extremely unsatisfied with the customer service, when we asked to speak to a manager we were told they could not be reached

It's a very nice hotel! Located in a very convenient area, close (walking distance) to many attractions; the front desk staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful; our room was very big and I really liked the older and rich antique bedroom furniture!! I told the front desk lady that we will choose their hotel again if we come to Venice in the future! Excellent place!!
