Belmont Hall
Pleasant stay, and friendly/helpful manager
We were welcomed to Belmont Hall by Joe, the manager, who we found to very friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself is a beautiful old Georgian house and the room and common areas were very clean, though a little tired looking. Breakfast was hearty and served with a smile. A central location and handy for a few local eateries and bars. Newry was a convenient stop over between Portrush and Comber, and a great base for exploring the Mourne Mountains and Silent Valley. A pleasant stay, thank you

Great place to stay
This hotel was a real find. The building is beautiful with real period character and I loved my room. Service was efficient but friendly. I was expecting to get wifi only in public areas but it was accessible with ease in the bedroom and was totally reliable and fast. If I had known that beforehand I would have been able to book a longer stay. Newry was really interesting and had some lovely buildings. I knew little about it and my plans were for the surrounding area, but I had to adjust them. I feel Newry is much underrated and overlooked as a tourist destination and centre. It has a lot of potential. The hotel is perfectly situated to be able to enjoy town and country.

Ideal for exploring the Mourne mountains.
Incredibly friendly and helpful! It was the owner's Mum who hosted and she did him proud.

weekend break
the place it's self was clean but when we arrived no one there doors locked we were half hour early but thought the place was empty kept ringing the door bell after 15 minutes the cleaner opened the door and let us in she tried ringing someone to let them know we had arrived but could not contact him so she checked us in and showed us to our rooms she was lovely and helpful the room was nice clean and very comfortable beds went for breakfast in the morning very disorganised no glasses for juice no spoons for cereal although had eggs on toast and tea that was good but no organisation only see 1 member of staff then tried to check out but could not find anyone around rang the bell on reception many times as did another couple trying to check out but still no one came so the other couple and our self's had to just leave the keys on the reception table so we would not go back
