Nice town but far from attractions
Kamata is close to the Haneda so it’s great if you’re just stopping over otherwise it’s unlikely you’ll ever find yourself in this side of town. It’s relatively far from the Tokyo attractions and tourist spots like Shinjuku or Shibuya but the train connection at Kamata Station makes it a breeze if you can spare a 30 minute or so ride. Otherwise Kamata is lovely and very local. The hotel is a short 5 minute stroll from the station but can be tricky to find without google maps as it’s nestled in a residential area. The property itself is your usual Japanese business hotel so it’s great if you just need a shower and a bed. Don’t expect the Four Seasons! As with all APA hotels, the room is small but sufficient for one. I like the APA chain cos it’s reliable.

Great price
I stayed here before a job interview the next day. The room was a bit small but not too bad! The location is a little out of the city but for the price and noise level I was okay with that. JR Line is easily accessible! There's also a decent sized supermarket nearby.
