Park Lane City Apartments

Tired decor, sagging mattress, old fashioned, hot and very noisy as there is a market right outside which starts setting up sat 5am.

problem finding my booking at check-in. Very very basic room and backed onto a noisy street. Good size room admittedly. Bed and pillows very lumpy and uncomfortable. Found out when I tried to shower in the morning that my boiler had broken and so had to wait for this to reset and heat water. Phoned reception to ask if there was anything they could help with... and they were incredibly unhelpful.

Very big flat, yet very dark. The area is great.

Massive apartment. A little rough round the edges and clearly had very little money spent on decorating and furnishing it - unpainted half finished skirting boards, super cheap sofas and beds etc. Good location, straight forward and friendly check in. The building desperately needs double glazing though, even on the 4th floor sleeping was a struggle due to the road noise which only seemed to quieten down after 2am and started again at 5am, waking me each morning.

Friendly reception. Lovely spacious room and biscuits, tea, coffee and milk provided which was a really nice touch. The cleanliness wasn’t quite there (unwashed mugs in the cupboard, dirty tables). Really comfortable bed and nice bathroom.
