Wish there were more of these around the world.
As a solo traveler I loved my stay here. It's a bit different then your normal hotel but that is part of what makes it awesome. I needed an overnight stay on my return trip back to the states and it was great. I booked it based on the pictures thinking it was going to be interesting and it was better then my expectations. Checkin was far easier then a lot of hotels I've been too even if you did have to ask a question but they had someone at the front desk to help who was probably THE happiest front desk person i've ever encountered at a checkin. Really he was happy to offer assistance rather then having that look of when does my shift end. (i understand and empathize with this look). For someone who uses a hotel as a place to rest, shower and change this was perfect. I want to spend time in the city not in the room and it was very comfortable. Scanning my wristband to checkin, purchase drinks and checkout may seem impersonal but it is far better then standing in line for over an hour with a line of people and one desk person. Also hanging out in the lobby met some great guys from Australia that I ran in to later that night outside of hotel. The portable hotspot was a very nice unexpected bonus only because i didn't read all the reviews. The pictures captivated me enough to book sans reviews......which is not normal for me. If I'm in the area again will def stay again.

Futuristic Private Pod Hotel in a Trendy Area
I arrived early so they let me use their locker for free. They gave me a wristband, which secured my locker and eventually gave me access to the hostel, my room, and let me purchase items in the hostel. Since I had just gotten off a long flight from the US, they let me get refreshed in the bathroom before heading back out. Once I got back that night after a day of sightseeing, the staff helped me check in on the terminal and I got to choose my pod. The pod came with a kimono, towels, shelving, hangers, and pillows and bedding. The pod comes with bluetooth capable speakers and multicolored lights you can control with a smartphone app. The bathrooms were very clean and was well stocked with towels and the showers had shampoo and body wash. The rain showers were a nice touch! The pods are in a former warehouse with sky windows so you get sunlight in hallway. It is nice to see natural light in the main hallways, which you can see from your pod windows if you open the shades. Kitchen in the lobby comes with a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and coffee machine. There is wifi throughout the whole building. The front lounge area comes with a stocked self-serve bar and comfortable seating. You use your wristband to purchase beer, food, snacks, even toiletries which gets added to your tab to pay upon check out. It is a quick walk to the tram, right by an outdoor market, and a 5-minute walk to Marqt, essentially a mini-whole foods. I cannot recommend this place enough. I loved it!

Lovely cosy little place for a few nights.
This was a great little place to stay. I'm not sure I would have wanted to stay much longer, based on the size of the room. However, the size of the hubs are made clear on booking by Cityhub and we wanted somewhere cheap, clean and cheerful (which it most definitely was). It was quite easy to check in and choose a wristband and assign yourself to your preferred pod (upstairs or down). There was someone on hand to help if necessary too. The room: there was plenty of storage space and hangers for the two of us who stayed for a few nights, the bed was one of the cosiest I've ever stayed in and the lighting and speakers in the walls added a nice touch for when you wanted some moments to chill out before exploring the city. Nice added touch having the portable wifi box, this really made it easier to get around the city using google maps without draining mobile data. Just need charging every night to last through the day. The reception area had a nice chilled out vibe - it was good to be able to help yourself to drinks and not worry about paying until the end of the stay. The toilets and shower rooms were immaculate and chilled out. The shower was insanely good -- much better than my one at home! They were always clean with fresh towels available, and one hairdryer and one set of hair straighteners. You never had to wait long to use these. I would recommend Cityhub to anyone; it was a wonderful place to stay and only 25 minutes walk from the centre of Amsterdam. Perfect :)

SUCH A GOOD PLACE!
Not only was the neighbourhood well above our expectations regarding restaurants and bars (just imagine a place like Foodhallen) - THIS PLACE EVERYONE! We expected a hostel and we got the comfort and cleanliness of a hotel with the social environment of a hostel. Just upon arriving we realized this was something else. Super high tech and easy self check-in, self service with drinks (that is charged with your key - the wristband!), and the receptionists! Ask them anything and they will know. Where to party, where to eat. Also to have an app to communicate with the receptionist for quick questions as well as adjust lighting in your hub, a very small portable wifi device to take around the city, super fresh toilets and showers as well as Rituals soaps and shampoo?!?? This place was amazing. Trams running by so so close (nr 17 mostly) and get you to city centre in like ten minutes. We are surprised by the standard and would highly recommend this place!

Cityhub Amsterdam is a cool place. I probably would not recommend it for anyone traveling with kids or for older folks, but for someone like me - early 30s traveling solo - it was perfect. I don’t travel somewhere just to sit in a hotel room, I am usually out and about exploring all day... but I like to know that I can come back to a hotel that is safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable and Cityhub delivered on all those. The pod rooms are small - its basically just a big bed plus a closet-sized amount of space by the door. Toilets and showers are shared, but there are plenty of stalls and honestly in the three nights I’ve stayed there I never saw anyone else in the bathrooms, so never had to wait. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they also gave me a portable hotspot box which gave free wifi as I traveled around the city which was super handy. The tram stop is only a few minutes walk and Foodhallen is right next door which has some excellent grub. Would definitely stay here again!
