Brand new Hotel and amazing resturant
Single night stay at this great little Hotel. The rooms are small but everything is brand new. The Hotel has great professional well groomed staff. Even the cleaning staff was dressed well. The check in process is very quick thanks to the brand new tech they are using. The staff is well trained. There is a bar in the lobby with very knowledgeable staff. And although i'm not a fan of Oysters there is a full Oyster bar. Comfortable classy vibe from the entire place. The Hotel also contains the highest rated restaurant in the City. This place is pumping all the time. And also has its own bar. It felt like the place to be seen. The rooms are small but functional. Good AC. Comfy Bed. Well laid out roomy bathroom. The next room had handbag dogs which we could hear barking from the hallway but not in our room. So the insulation is sufficient. There is a roof top area of which you can take your drinks up to. View of the river and some of the surrounding area. There is a gas fire pit up there which made it quite a cozy area after we returned from a night out. I see people have complained about parking. These people must be blind. There is a car park building right next door. Next door. Not two blocks away. Next door. On Friday after 6pm to Monday 6am it is $6 a day. $6 per 24hours. Even know it was a separate building I walked less distance to the hotel than most hotels that have their own car park. You do not need anything from the Hotel to park here.

The room I received (1 King bed) looked nice online and even in person. Once we were actually using the room, if the temperature got higher than 66 degrees, everything in the room would fog up like a shower in a bathroom with no fan on. ABOVE 66?? that's already freezing cold so the fact that it had to stay that low our whole trip was miserable. The mirrors fogged up, the headboard, the tables, the cupboards. EVERYTHING!!! Not to mention our room had the smallest window with a view of a nasty brick whole in the middle of the building so absolutely NO light came in. Not only this, but the trash cans in the room were so small you couldnt throw hardly anything away. I was thinkng maybe there would be trashcans out in the hallways. NOPE i was wrong. Absolutely no trash cans in site. we only stayed 3 nights and had trash piling up? this was horrible. I was very disappointed about the room and the overall stay at the hotel. I paid A LOT of money to stay here and I will NEVER stay again. Nor recommend this place to anything. I forgot to mention room service stopped at 10:30pm and 9:30 on Sundays. What is that all about. at the very least it should be open until midnight. Horrible stay.

Nice hotel close in downtown
I have traveled frequently and stayed in many hotels. By far this was the best hotel I have stayed. It is a boutique hotel with personal touch to every detail. it is not you typical cookie cut off mill hotel. My experience was splendid. The hotel is newly renovated. I was told they opened two weeks ago. The check in was smooth and the staff courteous. The hotel is hotel is clean and decor excellent. The room is small but with enough amenities, desk, mini fridge and closet. The shower is clean, and bed is comfortable. I would have rated the hotel 5 instead of 4 but three things held me off 1. we stayed for two days. On our second day, we got a call from the staff to inquire when we want house-keeping done. That was very pleasing phone call than a knock at the door. We told them to delay it by 2 hours as we were not ready to leave the hotel. Up on our return around 11 pm we found out the room was not cleaned. I called to let them know, but house keeping was not available at that time. 3. The room has a safe with combination. But the safe is not active at this at stage. 2. The hotel has a valet parking $35 for 24 hours unlimited pickup. Compared to other cities the price is very reasonable. The hotel does not have its own parking space and I drove two blocks and parked overnight for $6 on city run parking garage. The garage is on Third & Wood street. The garage charges $17 for 24 hours parking. We ended up paying $12 for two overnight parking vs $70 valet parking.

Great location
Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient It’s right at the edge of downtown so it’s quick to get to the surrounding areas. It’s only a 10 min walk to the PPG arena. (Maybe 15..,we walk fast) The hotel has a very hip, modern vibe. The lobby is very welcoming, the staff was great. They have a actual Kuerig in each room. That made my day. The rooms are tiny. If you’ve ever been to NYC, same idea. You can fit 2 people but your suitcases will be in the way and you might have to squeeze by each other to go to the bathroom. It’s not awful, just small. The bathroom was clean and updated. It had a stand up shower which was...small. I’m a average size female and it was cramped for me. The bed was super comfortable! I loved it. We were in a corner room and had 3 windows. They all had shades but only 2 had blackout curtains. There was a lot of light coming in that third window. That is my biggest complaint. It was awful. It was behind the bed so they couldn’t put the floor length curtains there but they need something. Also, I was looking for a luggage rack and I looked under the bed and found a cigarette butt, a couple of empty soda cans and some wrappers. It only means they don’t clean under the bed, I’m sure there’s worse things under other ones. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again. I would make sure not to get a room with no curtain but other than that our stay was very enjoyable.

Great hotel. Park across the street!
First time staying at this hotel in Pittsburgh. Usually stay at the Renaissance but wanted to give this place a try. Overall I’ll say the hotel is excellent. Clean, quiet and inviting rooms. Only hiccup was prior to arrival, I called the hotel to ask about parking. Specifically, I asked if there was a self-park option nearby, knowing downtown Pittsburgh has plenty of parking garages. Much to my surprise, the person on the other end said the hotel only offered valet parking. I asked, quite incredulously, “are you sure?”, to which said person said “yes”. So I had to ask, “how much?” Reply was $35. $35! So resigned to the fact that person must know best, upon arrival I pulled up to the front door and had the waiting valet park my car. When checking in, I explained the “valet only” phone conversation to the front desk attendant, and they said the only person answering the phone at the hotel (whoever that was) would never tell a guest they had to use valet parking. Aside from the fact that someone at the hotel did in fact tell me that, the front desk attendant did not offer to clarify or help in any way. Disappointing. Late for a meeting, I had to leave things as is. After my meeting I thought about the “valet only” situation again and was frankly miffed. So I went to front desk again, explaining the situation to a different attendant named Samantha. Samantha immediately recognized what I was told was incorrect and did something about it; she reversed the $35 valet charge.
