Seaside Break
Room was clean and tidy, windows need replacing as do the hall stairs and landing carpets. Could also do with a lift installing.

Ok But Could Be A Lot Better
It's ok but much more a 3 star rather than 4 star hotel. Our room wasn't the best, tired, no curtains just an old blind, sink plug not working, decoration tired. Obviously no one does a room inspection. We were advised that because the hotel had a function on both friday and saturday nights, if we wanted dinner we would have to eat at 6pm so we didn't bother eating in. There's no lift to the top floor either, corridors untidy, just not 4 star. So ok but could be a lot better.

Lovely stay
Lovely hotel with delicious food. However food was not available on the Saturday night due to there being a function. We discovered a wonderful Chinese restaurant next door - so that was no problem. Room was on 4th floor at the top but there was no lift, so it was quite a trek up there. However this meant it was very quiet. Double bed a little small for us, so we would choose two singles next time. Breakfast was really delicious - especially the pastries and sausages! Great location and lovely old solid building. Not sure how warm it would be in winter as no double glazing, but otherwise a lovely place. Lots of nice freebies in the bathroom.

Reasonable hotel at a reasonable price
Whilst the rooms are a little tired the hotel itself is fine. Great bar area and the hotel itself is worth it at the price. Would stay again.

Boutique without the pretension - or the prices!
Lovely old hotel - not swish but enjoying faded grandeur - staff were excellent. Great location right on the beach and easy walk into town or pier.
