The Village of Loon Mountain, a VRI resort
We took our 12 and 14 year old kids for a get-away during April vacation and wanted a hotel where we could spend a lot of time in case the weather wasn’t good and/or there weren’t many things open this time of year. I chose this hotel because it has pools, hot tubs a sauna and game room. One pool was large, with very cold water, and another was fairly small also with cold water. Kids loved the outdoor hot tub, and we also used the indoor one and sauna. A big drawback is that we had to walk outside, in the cold, to get to and from the pools. Game room was good for a hotel. I liked the pinball machine and Pacman, and we had a few air hockey tournaments. My daughter liked that there was a basketball court & she could borrow a basketball. We were all thrilled with how large it was—bigger than a studio apartment in Boston. Loved the fireplace and having a table where we could all eat together. Liked alcove with 2nd sink outside bathroom. Bed was big and comfortable. Pull out couch not that great, especially for adults. Used couch without pulling out bed 1 night. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots & pans, utensils, plates and cups, and even a baking sheet for making cookies. It’s a good thing we were able to shop in a grocery store nearby and cook for ourselves because most places were closed for mid-season since April isn’t ski season or summer. I was very disappointed that a bakery and breakfast spot I had seen recommended were both closed.

    30 years outdated
I used to stay here as a kid. 28 years later and all the facilities are the same including the pool area without a single update. Pool area by far is the grossest area, with extreamly outdated facilities and a lack of cleaning . Disappointed by the price and the fact no updates are refeclted in the price 28 years later bothers me a bit. My parents once owned a time share here but sold it due to poor management. Fire place was not working. Outdoor hot tube closed the whole stay due to “cold” weather, however it got up to 20 degrees, which it has been open in. Fell and slipped on very Icey conditions that seemed impossible to escape. For the price this stay was not worth it. Bretton Woods and the Omni have much better deals and much much nicer facility!

The plumbing is noisy. Pipes crash loudly with a loud bang. Otherwise our unit was clean and organized.
