Absolutely wonderful!

My stay at Ryosaino Oyado Mizuhaso was wonderful! The hosts were all very nice, the room was comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Both meals had so many components, it was so much fun to try everything! The private bath was also very nice after hiking up the mountain that day. It was also a very short, easy walk to this place from the shopping area. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, traditional, small hotel with onsen located at the shuttle stop for the aquarium. Choice of Japanese or Western breakfast - choose Japanese, an experience not to be missed! Hotel is just steps from views of the O-Tori Gate and a nice walk into the shopping/ferry area. Only downside is that by 5:00pm, everything in the nearby area is closed and shuttered so plan accordingly.

This guesthouse (ryokan) is a little off the main tourist track on Miyajima Island but that is its advantage since it does not suit in a sea of people all day long. Lovely place on Miyajima away from the busy shopping area but not a far walk from the terminal, maybe 15 minutes and still very accessible to the main shopping street, itsukashima shrine, the rope way all the good stuff if still less than 5-10 minutes walking distance. Very clean, lovely bath and shower facilities very nice after a long day of walking. The people who run it are incredibly sweet and you can see they truly care about your experience. Couldn’t give it higher praise!

Excellent Japanese style breakfast included 👍. Very quiet environment. Extremely comfortable bedding. Very roomy baths. Very good ryokan experience. Miyajima is quiet during off season so beware of the fact that it gets dark early and many close by restaurants were closed (early?). The shopping area near the small ferry building stays open and we were happy to have found a few restaurants that were opened for business after 5 pm. We had a great oyster dinner at Kakiya.
