Poor and Disappointing
This is meant to be a Small Luxury Hotels of the World group hotel. And this was a deciding factor when I booked the hotel. I cannot believe this hotel is of the standard for that group. I got a room on the second floor which looked right onto a roof and gutter. There was zero natural light - in fact despite it being blazing sunshine outside you could not tell whether it was night or day in the room. You could not see the sky from the window. See photos The room was tiny! If you have a suitcase you will not be able to fit it into the actual room - there is that little floor space. The downstairs communal areas were all under construction so there was literally no where to go other than lie in the bed or go outside into the city. If you are 2 people do not stay here as the room is too small. I asked the concierge for recommendations for restaurants in Soho. His response was: It’s New York City there are tonnes of places - I have no recommendations. This is the concierge - whose job is to help guests. When I complained about the room they told me because I had booked through hotels.com they couldn’t do anything and versus if I had booked direct. They then tried to charge me to move me to a different room. Whilst the manager was friendly he wouldn’t really resolve anything I would NOT recommend this hotel. It was expensive and terrible value for money. The only positives were that the bed was fine and the bathroom was decent.

Nice hotel, conveniently located close to Empire State. Customer service was excellent. Room had a lovely big bed, although was very small with next to no space for hanging clothes for two people. Nowhere to hang coats and jackets, and general lack of storage for a 5 night stay for two.

Great area, good value
Stayed for a week. Very friendly staff always courteous and assisting. Inviting bar area which was lively most nights. Great location close but not 'too close' to Mid Town and a walkable distance to Chelsea and Tribeca. The subway is at the end of the street which was also handy. Suits a couple or singleton. Good value over all. I'd stay again!

Hi all the place is very nice and the decor is lovely great location For midtown the one thing that's wrong with the hotel is the noise from the extractor fans or the Aircon units, was in room 501 then the next day ask them to change rooms then room 801 was the same maybe worse As a professional builder I think they need to fit triple glaze glass maybe the rooms that face the street maybe less noisier but then you have the traffic ?

Small but neat
What you see is what you get . Small room . Good for a solo business trip . I guess you can put your extras under the bed , like I did .

Missed expectations
Standard room looked smaller than expected and the brown fur blanket looked worn out :/ Service was minimal and stoic and fridge smelled damp. Bed was comfortable, though given everything probably won’t be back...

nice
I stayed there for 2 nights at first the price for the incidentals was too high, I had to use my hotel key to use the elevator and turn the lights on in my room. It was a bar in my room I had soda and alcohol in the refrigerator but it had a price on each item but the hotel was close to the subway train station and near the stores.

Exceptional 10.0
The staff was exceptional , very helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful, I felt like I was “home”. Love the decor and bed was comfy. I was going to stay for just one night and ended up extending my stay because I wanted to spoil myself a bit longer.

Beautiful clean rooms
Hall carpets need shampooing. Dirty. Especially stairs. Rooms are immaculate however. Beautiful lounge area in lobby. Overall a good hotel to stay. Dont get the name though. Should be changed.
