Shrouded in beautiful Autumn foliage and appointed with traditional Japanese accommodations (slippers specific to the toilet room, main room and patio each), it felt like quiet, authentic luxury. The private oneen on the terrace was great as well as the size of the room and cleanliness. The food was disappointing though and not worth the price, and the hotel itself was a bit hard to get to.
