Hôtel Plaza Québec

Nice hotel - about 15 minutes in a taxi from Quebec old town. Rooms are clean and a good size. The only disappointment was that we had no towels in our room when we arrived and didn't notice until we were ready to take a shower - it took a long time for the reception team to get some towels sent to our room.

The hotel is average at best. Decent for exploring Quebec if you are on a budget.

I have no idea why this hotel has so many stars, it’s a 20mins drive from quebec town and is on the side of a highway, it’s basically a motel. The pictures on the website have been very well taken as in reality it doesn’t look like that. The bedrooms are very small, the bathroom is tiny . There is loud music every night and there’s no where to escape this! There’s only one restaurant (gingers!) this is very average, daughter had chicken strips and the chicken had lumps in it! We asked for a table in gingers just for drinks on the last night and the staff member on the desk said there were no seats and there’s places to drink at up the highway! The rooms aren’t cleaned every day, never heard of this ever! We had no bath towels and had to ask three times to eventually get some The car park is like the construction entrance, full of old carpet etc and not lit. You walk into the hotel and it’s full of small dark uninviting rooms. The idyllic picture with the couple sitting around the pool and the balconies looking on. In reality there’s kids running around screaming until late. (One night we were woken at 2.30 by people in the pool) We Would never return to this hotel

Cleaning service only every two days, same as the rubbish.

Absolutely awful 4 nights, completely ruined the end of our holiday in Canada. We stayed 4 nights and mid afternoon the first coach of 13 year olds arrive and they just keep coming. You cant get in the pool as 60 kids in it plus another 20 in the hot tub. They are so noisy its horrific and we paid extra to overlook the pool. What a mistake it was the loudest noise ever. This goes on til 9pm. Then they fill the rooms around you and the corridors running around knocking on doors, shouting and screaming til gone midnight. From 7am it all starts again. Then add to this the graduation parties that start at 6pm meaning no parking for guests and their din is as loud as the kids in the pool plus the music starts and you have the booming til gone midnight too. These older kids then wander round the hotel finding them outside your room kissing etc. There is no security on the several external doors to the carparks and so anyone can just walk in. Add to all of this the hotel is dated and does not look like the photos and was very expensive but not worth it. The restaurant is extortionate $20 for 2 lattes and the smallest croissant ive seen. We asked for a refund on thr first night so we could check out but the hotel refused and so far been ignored by hotels.com

Due to roadworks nearby, getting to the hotel was a nightmare, as there were no signs to the hotel. The rooms are spacious with Wi-Fi, but minimal refreshments. Access to the pool was by keycard which did not work!!
