Looks good but...
Lovely, lively place. Rooms really clean and all the facilities you could need but... Bathroom extractor wasn’t working Heating wasn’t working

Extremely noisy till late at night
We stayed Thursday to Sunday and found Joanna at reception the kindest most helpful person there However the noise levels were deafening in the Restaurent and percolated to our rooms on the 1 st floor till late at night every night till 1 Am and all day too on Friday and Saturday The music was too loud in the Restaurent and with no double glazing due to the age of the building there was no consideration given to guests in there rooms trying to sleep Felt we were in a night club which was not conducive to a restful night Breakfast was average with extremely slow service with few guests

Not happy being put in a disabled room
Wasn’t happy being put in a disabled room. If it wasn’t late I would have asked to be moved

comfortable stay
overnight for a friends party. We have stayed here before so familiar with the hotel and like it. The only minor issue this time was we were above the bar and it was noisy quite late.

Nice hotel that could do so much better
Very nice hotel but just to many silly things to stop me wanting to go back. The condition of the place including the very small rooms was excellent. But; the bed which is a mattress on a wooden platform was shockingly hard, the windows don't open so impossible to get any fresh air, far to many little blue lights permanently on in the room, so you cant make it fully dark. The menu is basic but decent quality, the seafood linguini was excellent. Breakfast doesn't start until 7.00am and even then don't expect them to move with any speed, so businessmen beware. And then they go and put an early morning conference ahead of their staying customers. No juice because the conference had taken it all and a further 20 minute delay in getting any cooked breakfast out of the kitchen. Somebody needs to take this place in hand, sort out these silly but annoying issues and then the place would be busy and stay busy.
