Very bad service
Most uncomfortable bed in the world and dirty sheets. The shower was useless. Gotta say it’s one of the worse hotels I’ve stayed it. Positive note, great location that’s it. Don’t bother with this place

Great hotel
Nice little hotel in a lovely area of the city. All round pleasant stay. One staff member was a little unwelcoming but other than that we have great, friendly service. I would highly recommend this hotel.

To far away
Its advertising thsts its 1.5km away from city centre, well it's not it's more like 4km away and the area were it is their isn't much in the way of night life or pub/restaurants. It was a nightmare getting back to hotel from centre

Good location, disappointing hotel
I emailed the hotel to let them know about my concerns and have not yet heard back. I stayed twice over a period of days at this location. While conveniently located, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Both rooms we were given were dingy, lacked light and had bathrooms that reeked of urine. The beds has not fitted sheets on them, only flat sheets which meant the mattress was exposed anytime you turned in bed. In one room, the lights and the phone were unplugged/not working respectively. The shower knobs wouldn't turn and when we inquired, we were told that this is standard in Holland and you have to get a towel and grip the knobs very hard to turn them. Not impressed.

Comfortable and friendly
We had two rooms (one double, one twin) on the 5th floor. The rooms were fine - clean, simple, and with full aircon. The coffee machines in both rooms didn't work, but that wasn't a big deal. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel was fairly quiet (despite it being Pride Weekend!). The staff were all friendly and helpful. I'd happily stay at the Alfred again.
