Golden Tulip Barcelona

It had a great nice hotel vibe and I felt safe in the area but I took naps every afternoon and hung the “do not disturb” sign up, yet twice I woke up with housekeeping in my room. It was also very loud. None of the house keeping staff respected that I was sleeping and had multiple very loud conversations right outside my door. If you’re looking to have a quite experience, perhaps consider a different hotel. The pool was great and seemed like a great place for families with older kids!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable with nice toiletries. It was a bit hard to find when we arrived as there are two roads with similar names but once we had that sorted getting round was easy using the Metro.

Hotel great, staff pefect. Room - yeah good. Enjoyed it. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Area is going through a bit of a refurb - but safe. Queit over the weekend. Close for most of the sights. Train and bus services are excellent - you can get to most of Barcelona in a few minutes - about an hour from the Airport - tip get the bus from the airport to Place De Catulunya and then a bus to Glories - walk through the libary and the hotel is in front of you about 800m. Go, you'll love it. Clean, quiet safe. Very bright - by design. No plug for the Firestick close to the tv, tv wouldn't power it via usb - very minor point - and that's my only criticism. Brand new shopping mall, and plenty of restaurants downstairs - really lovely and all budgets.

While checking out hotel stuff asked me if I drank something from refrigerator in my room. He said that there was a piece of paper with prices next to refrigerator. Unfortunately I do not read all ads in a hotel room. And he informed me that I have to pay for it. Why you guys put something in refrigerator if it is not included in my stay??? I was twice before in Spain in 4 stars hotels and it was included. In Golden Tulip hotel they treated me like a thief. I'll never be guest in this hotel anymore. I do not recommend to anyone this hotel. The breakfast is very expensive. In the nearby restaurant you can eat 3 delicious dinners for the price of this breakfast. The service worked very well but the rules of this hotel are bad.

Excellent quiet hotel. Modern rooms & superb roof terrace with pool & jacuzzi.
