I traveled from Miami to the Coco Tulum hotel and the experience was very good. The guys at the reception were very attentive, they informed us about everything on the island, especially Cecilia, who was a great help to us. The cleaning girls did their job very well and in The restaurant is also very good service. We are all very satisfied with our stay at the hotel.

We loved our stay at Coco Tulum Zen Zone. It really was zen - we couldn't believe how nice it was when we got there in person. Pictures didn't even do it justice! It's so unique staying in a tree house type house. We didn't realize that each hut was detached and we got our own. Our room wasn't loud like we saw in a lot of reviews. You could hear the beach when you slept and woke up to the birds chirping which was peaceful. The staff were always cleaning around the premises and it showed. My only issue was that apparently we decided to pay at the hotel instead of at the time of booking, and you can only pay in Peso's (no option to pay in USD) and they (like most places in Mexico) give a bad exchange rate so we ended up paying a lot more than what we should have, so I recommend paying in advance in your own currency.

I like that Coco Tulum offers free breakfast and its not the kind of breakfast all you can eat Buffett. It's a short walk to the beach. Its nice and clean. The only thing I didn't like is while my stay. I encounter a very scary situation. One of the night security open my bungulo door late at night and with the flash light checking in my room without my permission.

We didn’t know it was a shared bathroom with the rest of the occupants. We didn’t like how the woman bathroom was easily accessible from outside to anyone! We also didn’t like how our room was adjacent to a sat club that had music playing aloud until 8 am in the morning and started back around 10am. We ended our trip earlier! As you know, we rescheduled our flight paying another $1000 to come back a few days earlier! That’s how unpleasant the room was!
