Quality, quality, quality!
I usually stay at one of the city centres hotels but I fancied a change of scenery and pace and found Roseneath which was very pleasant and quiet, just what I was after. The directions given by Paul were superb and I found the property with no problems whatsoever. Paul (the owner) gave me a very warm welcome on arrival and showed me to my very large room for the night which facilitated all of my needs extremely well. The property is an old period Victorian house so it doesn’t have double glazing and I read other reviews from some people mentioning the noise from the road that runs outside the property, that it was noisy. Whilst you can hear some noise it isn’t disturbing and I’m a very light sleeper and I slept very well. Breakfast was superb! A lovely freshly cooked full English rather than the help yourself from a tray that could have been there for ages that you get in some establishments. You can of course choose a continental breakfast if you wish but go for the full English you won’t regret it. Although I didn’t fully explore the surrounding area it did seem very nice as I drove through it the following morning passing plenty of pubs, dining and takeaway establishments as well as other shops in the towns centre. So, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, whether for business or pleasure away from the hustle and bustle of the city which is only approximately 6 miles away then give Roseneath a try, I don’t think you will regret it.
