    Group Backpackers Delight
If you are backpacking with 6-8 friends & on a budget, this is the spot for you. If you are looking for even an ounce of quality, you won't ever find it here. Walked past the group smoking out front, then around the vacuum, finally stepping over the pile of dirty linens to unlock the door. Aside from the dirty dishes in the sink, the place looked sort of clean, although we didn't investigate to throughly. We did hope that there was a blanket we could drape over the couch to cover it before we sat, a better idea was not to sit at all. Bedrooms were dormitory style and lacked any look of comfort. Place smelled like curry and cleaning solutions. This place was a mutual N.O. We headed up the road and stayed at a quiet and fabulous place in town that included a delicious menu breakfast, and/or a buffet and espresso. Good call us.

    Good 6.0
As soon as we came in to check-in, staff didn’t even took a second to get off their phones and say “hi” or even look at us. I had to say we are checkin in, if they could help us. The only thing the lady said was: sure. Very rude. We felt very unwelcomed and we didnt even bother to ask information what is around, where to go etc..Not very good first impression.... We came to our room and it smelled like curry and weird cleaning products. Couldn’t get that smell out for two days. Other than that, room looks new and clean. Very spacious and good value for money.

    Nice place with good facilities.
We stayed in a kitchen cabin with toilet. It was a lovely clean room and everything was in good condition. The place has obviously been there a long time but facilities appeared to be well maintained. It has easy access to the hot water beach which was a bit of a bonus. Tried the small spa type hot pools (there is another slightly larger one) which were nice but didn't seem to be overly minerally. Could just be the dark blue of the pool paint made them look clear not coloured. 2 of the 3 staff we encountered were excellent - very friendly polite and accomodating. I was very happy with our stay.

Pool is hard to get out of and dangerous if you aren’t able to pull yourself out. Plant boxes in the car bays are in the road when trying to get in and out of car out side cabben 6, 7,8 &9 and windows need to be sliding over the ramp into cabben or at least different colour to rooms as can’t see when walking out door other than that loved stem cooker mineral pool location. Will defently keep this place in mind next time we come back

    Cosy has it all!
We stayed here with our friends who were visiting from the UK. We used the ‘hungi’ facility a few times with excellent results. The hot tubs and pool were a great way to relax when we returned at the end of the day and to be able to wander along the lake front and dig holes in the sand dipping our feet in the warm hot pools was a real treat! We really love this site and have lost count of how many visitors we have spent time with here at Cosy Cottage.
