Great hotel. Just be careful in Room 303.
Incredible hotel. Very clean. Very impressive bathroom and bedroom. The gated parking lot on the property was fantastic. Only complaint is in Room 303. You need to put some warning signs or some cushioning so people won't accidentally hit their heads at the place where the ceiling and wall meet because that is the top floor of the building and it is similar to an attic with sharp angled walls and ceilings. Also the end of the wooden bedframe towards the feet when you sleep I kept hitting my shins hard when I got off the bed and had to walk around the bed. The bedframe juts out about half a foot (I'm guessing so you can throw some clothes or other items on it) and if you aren't careful you're going to slam your shins while walking around the bed. You need to put some cushions on that or someone will get really seriously hurt later on. I am lucky I am tall so it just hit my shins. If I was shorter it would have been hitting my knees. I'm still leaving a 10.0 review though because I had a fantastic stay overall. Just please be careful with Room 303 and please put some cushioning everywhere!

Nice hotel, room not really set up for business travel. Pleasant staff. Mediocre breakfast in the lobby. Great location for enjoying nightlife.

Loved our stay at The Royal Frenchman Hotel
We loved our stay at The Royal Frenchman Hotel. The location is fantastic for walking around the Frenchman Street, French Quarter, French Market, and more. We walked a lot, even later at night. The main areas of the hotel are very nice, with beautiful art throughout. Our room was beautiful with high ceilings, detailed molding and fantastic shower. When we arrived there was a handwritten note welcoming us. The staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed sitting in the hotel bar and talking with the staff and other visitors. There is a cute courtyard for sitting outside as well. We were there the weekend of the AFC championship game, so Frenchman Street was very busy, but it was still quiet in our room. There were only two things we would change if given the option. One is the mattress, which was too firm for our taste. The other was breakfast. It would be great to offer hard boiled eggs or oatmeal packets. Even peanut butter would pack more protein. The breakfast consisted of bagels/cream cheese, packaged muffins, cereal cups, and apples/oranges. The coffee was great, and tea, orange juice and milk were available. Overall we would definitely return to this hotel!
