Hotel has a style , location is amazing , but be ready to "fight" the cruise ship crowds , it's never ending . I actually enjoyed the city view with a grassy balcony vs facing the cruise ship balconies of the "sea view" . Breakfast was plentiful, service was amazing. Just you all know, CR stands for Christiano Ronaldo , his collab with the local hotel chain

This hotel is nice and unique. The service staff is very nice however we had a poor experience with reception where one staff member in particular had a bad attitude with nearly every interaction. The hotel is clean and walkable to downtown but after staying on the southwestern side of the island at a different hotel for a similar price, I would seek out other options in the future.

A short break booked at the last minute, we found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and hotel is ideally located to Funchal centre. The breakfast offering was great with very good selection of food to choose from. The only thing I would say was that the bed was a little too firm for both my wife and I, this is obviously a personal thing. Overall a great stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

The service provided is super friendly and super helpful. Hugo the Manager is such a class act, nothing is too much trouble for him or his staff. Special Mention also to Gorati who ran the show in terms of the Dining, Bar and Breakfast set up. A Beautiful personable lady who made our experience so welcoming. We cannot wait to return in 2025. Its been 7 years prior to this week since we last visited, we will be coming back for sure.

The hotel was great. Good location. Clean rooms. However, the hotel is right on the harbor where the cruise ships come in. There was a lot of loud horns at night and in the morning. Also, the hotel had a DJ on the pool deck Saturday night when we stayed. The bass thumped in our room till 2:30 AM. Then people continue to party until approximately 5 AM. We didn’t get a wink of sleep that night. When we brought this up to the front desk staff, she dismissed it. There was no apologies or any concern for the inconvenience . Would not stay here again

I had a few issues with my booking where Expedia over charged me, but Expedia Customer Service are absolutely awful and do not care about quality customer service, that is based on my experience so far! This has still not been resolved due to Expedia's poor service. Whereas the CR7 hotel experience was fantastic! The staff at reception and in the restaurant were fantastic & extremely helpful! Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner was great! The facilities at the hotel were great with a nice roof top pool, sauna, jaccuzi and outdoor gym! The location is great and 15-20min to walk to the old town.
