Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel just right by racecourse. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are for reasonable price. Very nicely presented and cooked. Rooms are nice and beds very comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

it was difficult to find and the room decor can only be described as peculiar. The room wasn’t overly large and the king size bed made it difficult to navigate. The wall behind the bed head was decorated with a print showing timber ends, like a log pile. There was precious little storage space - a hanger rack next to the bed - with a purple velvet pouffe underneath. Electrical outlets were just inside the door or on the wall under the hanger rack. Despite the lack of space there was a rustic looking round table in the corner with tea / coffee making equipment on it but no kettle. There was a mirror on the wall framed in a kind of white lime-wash and with deer antlers attached at two corners. These presumably reflected the single curtain with pictures of deer on it. The whole effect was somewhat bizarre. We stayed there because it provided easy access to friends living locally and it was relatively cheap.
