We had a lovely stay at The Netherwood . We had a nice meal and the room was warm and ok for the price. Plenty of choices for a delicious breakfast and the plates and food were hot. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Overall it was a nice stay as the hotel is in a good location for walking into Grange but is rather tired with some of the furniture being ready for an upgrade and other improvements. Old world charm with some interesting history.

The hotel is very characterful and ideally located with great views. We enjoyed our stay greatly. However, the reception personnel were quite offhand and the room needed better maintenance (e.g. loose floor tiles in the bathroom) and better cleaning (dust on fan, hair on sofa, bin not emptied, cobwebs on ceiling). I would still recommend this hotel.

Nice older hotel with amazing sea views. The staff were great and helpful. The only drawback for us was the bar fell like an after thought. Limited comfortable seating to enjoy a drink as the room where the bar is located serves and an overflow area for dining and a barman that disappeared for long periods of time leaving guests waiting for drinks. Would I stay here again? Yes I would.

On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile by reception & all the staff were warm & friendly. They work so hard and are a credit to the hotel. The room was spotless & the tea/water etc was welcoming. The evening food & the breakfast were excellent, compliments to the chef. ⭐️. We relaxed in the lounge in the evening & it felt such a good atmosphere. Overall we had a fantastic time & wished our 1 night could have been more. We will be back. Thank you Netherwood. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's got bags of character, large rooms, dark wood panelling high ceilings with decor. The breakfast / dining room has a lovely view over the bay. The bedroom and large double bed very comfortable, the tea tray complete with real milk in a mini bottle, a nice touch. The bathroom spacious although shower over bath is not to my personal preference, older folks like me need to take great care clambering in and out. The dinner meal was excellent, typical current prices but 10% service on top of the menu figures. The breakfast was buffet service but the hot items were cooked to my liking and fresh. The sausage was good quality proper flavour and not a bulk catering cheapie, which is a good sign. Good quality bread used for the toast and croissants as well. Little jars of preserves also good quality and not the cheap and tasteless stuff that comes in plastic capsules I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay in June in the woodlands chalet which featured a big hot tub and a huge comfy bed. The chalet was clean and modern, with all the essentials you could want provided such as tea, milk, biscuits and dishwashing liquid. The staff were all wonderful. We found our private courtyard with the hot tub was hot upon arrival and a great afternoon suntrap. It's just a 10 minute walk to local restaurants, cafes, cute shops, a bakery, a fantastic deli and some pubs. There is a train station close by and also plenty of parking including electronic car chargers. Only feedback would be that the breakfast was average (not a problem as we had full self catering facilities) and the automatic lights (on our porch and the internal hallway) we could not turn off which was frustrating when getting up in the night. Overall would thoroughly recommend.

The house itself is beautiful. Grounds are well maintained, stunning views, pleasant staff, delicious breakfast and lots of parking. Train station to other areas if almost directly opposite. My only gripe was the internet. We had no access throughout our stay in our room - number 8, and very limited in other areas of the hotel. I know we didn’t have a break to be on our phones all day, but it is essential in these days to have access to it.
