NOLA house, good atmosphere, quality accommodation
Great old style NOLA home. Limited kitchen but clean and adequate. Restful and always good to get back to. Quiet area. Outside is not the smartest but our 6 nights were very peaceful. Felt safe . Other reviewers not city aware maybe. This is a true NOLA place. Check the chandeliers. Wow. Excellent for st Charles Streetcar too. Would be happy to stay again.

Exceptional 10.0
Quality, characterful, fair priced and convenient!
Initially, I admit I was a bit reticent as we drove toward the property. How wrong could I be? I cannot speak highly enough of its offering. Located in part of the exclusive Garden District, within a short distance of the tram, restaurants, and bars we had no difficulty walking uptown to the buzz that New Orleans is famous for. What lay inside was masked by a quaint but modest exterior. Initially we were unable to gain access but two very friendly neighbours were more than willing to assist to contact our host, Joseph. On entry, the first thing that greeted us was a fragrant, fresh and clean smell. The chandeliered entrance hall drew us to a wide, sweeping staircase and, to our right, a massive communal lounge area that opened up to an expansive kitchen offering all the comforts of home. The decor is eclectic and a mix reminiscent of the civil war period to the present and offered the comforts of the 21st century with no expense spared. It is a credit to Joseph who has shed blood, sweat and tears in bringing this home to a five star standard. Upstairs our king bed was surrounded by an even more spacious room accompanied by a marble/granite bathroom with twin basins and a shower over glass-enclosed spa bath. (Even rooms without en-suite, are still quality.) We were allowed 'run of the house' to use and come and go as we pleased and with few other residents we felt we had almost exclusive use of this gem. I would look no further for quality (underpriced) accommodation in NOLA.

Obviously cannot rely on your descriptions of area
OMG we read in your description that you visited your places advertised for guests to stay . Well you HAVE NOT visited this one!!!!!!!! Go have a look just where it is situated!!!!!! On the wrong side of the tracks!!!!! Literally!!!!!! The area is dire dirty disgusting street broken pavements filthy litter people sleeping almost on the door step. One of our joys of travelling is to walk around the areas where we stay OH NO not here. The photo MUST be removed it is of the garden district not CLIO STREET. Even taxi drivers did not know it when we eventually got back all of them taking different routes they could not believe we were staying in such an area. Look on line to find the MISSIONS area. We were two streets away from there!!!! The house was nice but OMG do you not have any value of your!!!!!! Customers safety you are going to be held responsible for an incident waiting to happen. We spoke to Joseph when we arrived obviously knew we were shocked at the area house nice never saw another person until we left had to knock on a for to try to speak to someone. No Joseph three nights seeing no one very strange and dry of putting. We felt so insecure and we are seasoned travellers for forty years but NEVER been advised to or allowed to stay in such an area. GO HAVE A LOOK. It ruined our stay in New Orleans being afraid to go any where near such an area. What do you think you should do about it?? No wonder they took all our payment weeks before our trip people would not stay

Adorable place to stay
The creole house was very beautiful and very clean. Not your typical hotel, the rooms felt more cozy and felt like a home. We met the caretaker and she was so kind and polite. Although there is no check in desk I didn’t feel like we needed anything and I didn’t mind having to use keypads for entry. It made it easy to come and go as we pleased. My only complaint (to no fault of the creole house) is that it is on a sketchy street that I wouldn’t have felt waking on at night but it wasn’t a problem because we had to take Uber’s to all the places we were going anyway due to distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice place to stay!
I would have a liked to meet with the management so they could explain the kitchen. Other than that it was excellent!
