The Old English Inn
Not as good as we hoped
Our room was very cute and clean. But we were under the impression that this is a bed-and-breakfast and it is not. The only breakfast options were store-bought muffins and donuts and juice that had mold floating on top. As the building is very old prepare to hear lots of noise, you can hear everything being said in adjoining rooms. Our neighbors had their TV blasting thru the entire night so we got no sleep one of the nights. We did not try the attached restaurant, but the lobby fills with smoke every afternoon/evening, so they must not have good ventilation in the kitchen. In a nice area right outside of Branson and easy to get to. Parking is on the street so it's hit-or-miss whether you get a spot or not right out front. The door locks at night and you need a code to get in. We were told it locks at 11 p.m. on the weekend but we got back just after 10 and it was already locked! Thankfully my boyfriend took a picture of the code or we would have been stuck outside. You hardly ever see anyone at the front desk so if you have questions make sure you ask them when you check in. When we checked out, the receptionist did not say thank you or anything she was too busy with a personal phone call. We also watched another customer of the hotel get arrested outside one night, so that was no fun. Especially when the people with him were allowed to remain at the hotel, most hotels will kick you out if you get arrested or have any trouble with the law.

Spent a week at The Old English inn. The staff are very kind and willing to help in any way they can. Although my room was on the smaller side, it was cozy and clean. The restaurant downstairs was good with great service! I was a regular by the end of the week. Hollister coffee shop was close , another place a frequented during my stay. I will definitely be staying at the Old English Inn again next year.

Quaint &Charming.
Charming environment & comfortable. The rooms are smaller than you might expect but the beds are very comfortable. There are very nice sitting areas on both levels.

So So
Very cool place to stay if you like history and old style places. It wasn't bad. The rooms are very small, not a lot of room. our suitcase took up 90% of the floor space. Bathrooms were nice. Bed could use some updating. Colors and things were okay, needs some updating. I would recommend it for a one time thing but wouldn't go back.
