I will start with the positives, nice warm friendly greeting, the hotel was immaculately clean and well presented and we were given a free disc for parking the rest of the day.We were then escorted to room 10.Unfortunately it went downhill from there ,on entering the room i can truthfully say it was like walking into a fridge ,even the young lady felt the radiator and said she better reboot the heating ,it was absolutely freezing ,on our return to the hotel at 8pm to our disappointment we found the bar area locked up,so went up to our room which was considerably warmer than when we left ,the heating was still on,on getting into bed we were puzzled why there was a thin summer duvet on the bed at the beginning of March but as the heating was on it was acceptable, the wind was quite strong and was making the roller blind leave the sash windows and we noticed someone had put tissue in the side of the frame probably to stop it banging ,the central heating was turned off during the night and with just a summer quilt to keep us warm my husband was freezing so much so he got up and put his hoodie on to sleep in, at 2 am we were awoken by some lads shouting on the main rd,having got back to sleep we were again rudely woken at 4am by a group of very drunken loud people on the main road,as there is no secondary double glazing the sound was a though there was no window at all.when we left at 8.30 am we couldn't complain about the cold room as reception/bar area was still locked up.

Brilliant hotel
Lovely b and b close to town. Shame bar wasn't open as it looked lovely. Nice lady welcomed us and showed us to our room which was clean and spacious with good bathroom facilities. Thanks for great stay.

Brilliant staff, lots of space but a little noisy
Lovely owners, very helpful and welcoming. Decor and styling very modern and nice. Few finishing touches missing, ie some walls not quite painted fully.. breakfast was good quality, made to order whatever you wanted! Room was really big, lovely grand windows, room was warm enough but bathroom quite chilly, with no heating in there, but it was December... We were in a room street side, quite noisy even til early hours, but that’s not a fault of the hotel.

Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at the Chapel House Hotel for a long weekend work commitment. The room was clean, tidy and the bed super comfortable. The en-suite beautifully clean. All the original features have been kept wherever possible and this adds to the overall style.... modern where appropriate. The meal on Friday was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble got the staff and owners. They have a sculpture and artist in residence and we came away with 2 amazing paintings from John ’cool box’ Lawton. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. If you stay ask to see the chapel situated at the bottom of the house. It is truly wonderful, the wood panelling and painted wall panels are stunning.

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a one night away stay, on entrance a sign stated the restaurant was out of use due to a party however nothing was mentioned when we checked in, we got into the room which was freezing cold no heating and the bedroom light wasn't working, the TV in the sitting room came on every hour after 9pm and i had to switch it off at the wall in the end as we were beginning to get a bit freaked out by it. Due to the no restaurant sign we later went out and picked up a takeaway yet when we got back we were shouted at by a man who works at the hotel stating you can't take food into the room. No 1 - a sign on the floor which was later shown to us shouldn't be an acceptable way to state you are unable to eat in the room No 2- i didnt appreciate having "no no no" yelled at me from another room when we entered the hotel with a simple pizza box. No 3- I don't feel like we should have been made to eat our food in another room other than our own considering I paid for a larger room which had its own sitting room area. I also felt the tea and coffee should have been in the actual bedroom it's self as I felt it was an inconvenience outside of the room.

Just right...
A very cozy and pleasant building. Room was more than adequate for my one night stay. Service came with a polite text on book in day to ask about my arrival time, which i thought was swell.

Weekend Break
Had a lovely weekend stay, the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The room we had was very spacious and had a touch of luxury about it. Parking nearby was easy to find and the cost was fantastic. We would stay here again for sure.
