We only stayed one night at Palmer's

Such a cute old Charleston single house. It's quaint and charming - next to the horse stables. My only complaint was the trash trucks coming in the wee hours of the morning every day and it's really loud. Breakfast isn't until 8:30am which is a bit late if you want to get an early start on sightseeing. It went from 85 to 55 overnight and it was cold with no way to warm our room besides the fireplace (which was left on all night) and I personally can't sleep unless it's dark. But that's just me.

We had a great stay at the Inn- our room was comfortable and the location is amazing! We had access to the kitchen and snacks even if it wasn't breakfast time. I’d definitely stay there again

Great location and extremely friendly staff! Our room was spacious yet cozy, and we had access to the main office even after hours if we needed a snack or coffee.

I had imagined that a bed and breakfast would be more quaint and attentive than a chain hotel. I was disappointed with this experience. The property is an old home I understand but it is in disrepair and felt more like I was staying at grandmas house without grandma home. On the upside the location to the market etc... is great however you do have the horse stables both right beside and behind you hence the barn smell. I wont stay at this property again.

The inn was very nice and the location was conveniently located in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The location of our room was great ! Didn't have to go up a flight of stairs. The staff was very gracious and made you feel welcome. I remember Martha's name.

Pickney B & B Charleston, S.C.
The Pickney Inn was charming. Also, the location was very close to restaurants, the market and E. Bay Street. The staff was accommodating.

Palmer's Pickney is a charming historic house in a fantastic location, but could use some more love and attention to detail. The condition of some parts of the house could be significantly improved, especially the bathroom (fixtures, shower door, sink) and our room could really use a new mattress. Breakfast is not bad, but nothing special, unlike most B&B where we have stayed. We "interacted" with 3 different people during our stay. They seemed to be on the phone at all times and were not easy to talk to without feeling you are disturbing them. Definitely not the kind of experience that people who book B&B rather than chain hotels expect. Very surprised that no one asked once during or at the end of our stay if everything was OK. Lots of potential to improve a bit how this place is run, as the house and location are a treasure.
