The Cook Hotel & Conference Center
Not all what it seems.
Looks a plush high quality hotel but , we found that it is staffed as a budget hotel . Breakfast tables and chairs were not clean , dust was evident under all table and chair legs . Staff slow to clean tables between guests and it wasnt busy . Sad to see a couple of the guys on duty helping themselves to buffet when they thought no one was watching- not very professional ! Complimentary 'Continental' breakfast is very limited , apparently yoghurt and fruit isn't classed as part of a continental breakfast! , limited to cereal and bread and coffee . The 'hot' breakfast is also very limited for the additional dollars you are required to pay . Room was clean and comfortable , setting was ideal for meeting up with our son a student on campus. most student accommodations are in walking distance of the hotel , close to the lake also . Overall not good value for money . If we come to Baton Rouge again , We'll go back to staying at the Staybridge suites a mile or so away and still on Campus .

Nice, clean, quiet accommodations
Location is wonderful if you are in Baton Rouge for anything dealing with LSU. And if you aren’t, it’s still located in a beautiful area of the city. Very quiet! Didn’t have to deal with sounds of the interstate which was a huge plus. The hote itself is very clean and quiet, and the staff is very welcoming. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another date a couple of weeks away while we were checking out!

Cook Hotel- LSU
Great place- on LSU campus. Many LSU functions are held here. We stayed days following Christmas so campus was were roads, and hotel. Check in wasn’t quick and efficient. Rooms were very clean and sophisticated. Good hot showers. Breakfast spread was nice... all the classics. Stand out was the grits! They were awesome! Dining staff was helpful and efficient. Side entrances were well lit and we always felt safe. Will stay again for sure!!!

Recommend Highly
Great place to stay. The location is perfect, the staff is great, the rooms are a bit small but super comfy and the bed was amazing. I am an alum, but I recommend this hotel to anyone.
