Our experience at the V&M was excellent. It's brand new so every part of the facility and room is immaculate, yet the staff is so uniformly helpful and friendly that it feels like a well-established hotel. The room showed evidence that ideas about design were blended well with ideas about convenience. Plenty of USB ports were always handy, and a complimentary adaptor for those who forgot one was already in the room. Books in the room added a nice touch, featuring history and architecture. For those who always want it, TV in the bathroom as well as main room. Minibar has "free" sodas, water, and snacks. Speaking of the bathroom, amenities include rainfall shower, heated floors, a scale ( no thanks), separate bathtub, and double sinks. Minor complaint is the shower door, which was heavy and hard to open, and always left water on the floor after being pushed open. A rubber ducky adds whimsy, and loofah pad & plenty of Bigelow lotions and gels are appreciated. Housekeeping was prompt when called; laundry delivered nicely as promised. The main downsides are for the nightlife due to location. This is a City hotel, and the City doesn't have bustling evening pubs and cute cafes and gelataterias. However, it's a good location for access to St Paul's, and you can do some nice walking tours of guild halls and old London. A walk to Southwark's Borough Market is about 15 minutes across the bridge. And the Mansion House tube stop or Cannon St (tube and National Rail) is very close.

Top Notch Hotel!
We loved V & M! It’s a new hotel so is up to date completely. There is 24 hour desk attendance so no matter the time you return it is safe and secure. The room was a bit small, but that was minor compared to the amenities and service. The room has a fridge drawer stocked with drinks and a snack drawer with goodies, including a Nespresso machine and teapot. There is good air conditioning so that sleeping is very comfortable. The bed was superb and the linens wonderful! The rooftop restaurant is lovely and the main floor restaurant was also beautiful. The food was great in both. Try the brioche French toast for breakfast and the Vietnamese pudding for dessert! Best of all, they provide you with a mobile phone to make International calls, Google , etc to use, free of charge. We loved our 13-day stay!

Best hotel in London hands down!
A brand new hotel with an amazing location in London. Our stay was unforgettable from the moment we checked in until long after we checked out — literally — Dimitri at the front desk and housekeeping were so kind that they were able to find my car keys that I had left in the room and helped arranged a way for me to get them back. I am staying at Vintry and Mercer for sure next time I am in London, and having another delicious dinner on that wonderful rooftop next time as well — thank you to the young, dark-haired lady for you courtesy in letting us know about that and escorting us in the right direction too. Honestly this is one of the best places I have ever stayed — they even offer free concessions in your room and a phone with internet access to bring with you around the city — thanks to the porter for letting know about that!

I was so impressed by the V&M. And truly recommend it very highly. The real secret of winning as a hotel at this level is always the staff. And they have some great people. From our initial welcome at reception to our experience at all their food and beverage locations people were excellent They have also done an amazing design job. The hotel has a stylish feel which, whole modern, remains true to the city merchant roots of the area. The food is also absolutely amazing. We had dinner on the 7th and the food and views really impressed We also had some of the Asian menu from the ground floor shipped down to the Speakeasy Bar (which has a great vibe and knowledgeable bartenders) and that menu didn’t disappoint either Try it One very small drawback is that it’s awkward when you arrive or are picked up by car.

Very good
Loved this hotel! Came with friends on a combo work + birthday celebration. Beautifully appointed, recently remodeled. Room #412 Positives: Great vibe and staff! Lovely rooftop restaurant (Brussels Sprouts!) Comfy bed Very clean Lighted closet Nice desk with outlets Complimentary stocked refrigerator Water pressure in beautiful bathroom Shelves in bath to place your stuff NICE blow dryer...longer nozzle=long hair friendly Tube stop is just a block away Great pubs nearby Negatives: Insufficient places to place your stuff in the bedroom. Tiny nightstands had one shelf at bottom. No dresser or other storage. Kinda felt like living in a (very nice!) camper. Small hanging space in closet, as half of closet is used for coffee set-up shelf, then refrigerator below. 2 small drawers in closet at bottom of hanging space, and those were used by hotel for room items. There was space for only one open suitcase. We were there for 5 nights of a 2-week trip, so I’m sure we’d have been more comfortable if stay was shorter and we’d needed less luggage, or could have further splurged on a larger room.
