My major issues with this place were the foam mattress being worn into a u shape and the dirty floor and mat in the small changing area in the shower room. There are other issues I think other travelers would find to be major issues, like the size of the comforter. I'm 157 cm/5ft.2in. And it wasn't long enough for me. I stayed in the book themed area which is in the basement, but props on decorating this with books, makes for a cozy atmosphere. I hit my head on the over hang nearly every time I exited my bunk area. 2 things I like better about 9 hours akasaka, and other capsule hotels I've stayed in in Japan- they don't charge extra for toiletry sets, and lockers for your bags are in separate room which eliminates the noise of your European neighbor going through all their plastic bags with omiyage in them at 2am. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your own earplugs because the free ones tea and bill book have fell out of my ears during the night. Also, one of the ladders fell when one of my neighbors was beginning to get out of her bunk. Her friend and I helped get the ladder back up to her but none of us could figure out how the ladder fell. GREAT neighborhood. Quiet and residential. Not a lot of food options between the hotel and the station from what I saw.

Enjoyed this little hostel for a few nights. Amenities were a little slim, but had enough to be comfortable. Beds were comfy and not too small for an average sized male. Bathrooms were fine and kept clean. Stairs were needed to get to the rooms, so if you have mobility issues, this would not be a good choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, would probably stay again. Worth the price!
