Great location but not a great stay
It’s an odd place. We were there 5 nights and the only ones staying. It could be amazing with a clean pool, a better breakfast with more coffee and a way to get rid of the weird vibe. No good advice for how to fix that. Lucia was great. We felt like the owners ( not based on anything that was Sid or implied) are not invested in the success

Pros: good location, quiet, Lucia was nice & helpful, large room, comfortable bed; Cons: unless you pay 5 dollars US, your room isn’t cleaned; you only get one cup of coffee at breakfast unless you pay extra for each cup; no coffee maker in room.

You must have the address of the hotel handy, because there is no sign other than in small letters beside the door. So you must ring the bell and may wait a while before being buzzed in. The lift is not working, so you must be OK with one flight of stairs. Also, there is an extra charge for room cleaning. Having said all that, it is a wonderful old heritage building with interesting art throughout, lovely staff, great breakfasts, and a good location. I would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I were both impressed with the warmth and helpfulness of the staff in helping us with questions such as restaurant recommendations, places to visit and hours of operation. The included breakfast was of high quality and delicious. Our room was well cleaned and maintained. The location of the premises was quiet (on a street where vehicles are no permitted as it is pedestrian only ) The hotel is a renovated 100 yr old mansion own by the insight manager’s family and lovingly taken care of. It is an Art hotel with many works that can be enjoyed. Bravo for this lovely experience. Of special note is “Nike” the manager’s greyhound who is a lovely, clean and obedient, wonderful assistant hostess who stole our hearts! All together the 3 nights & 4 days we spent here were definitely a highlight and will be a wonderful remembrance in all respects.

Very central and the owners are very accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and decorated in a very interesting style. Off street parking in a garage round the corner from the hotel if you bring a car.
