Absolute gem.
Absolute gem. Auch lovely rooms and staff. We will definitely return again soon. Really pleased with the design of the rooms. Great air conditioning which was unexpected too. Fantastic.

Comfortable room but cleaning needs work
We stayed for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and a good size as London hotel rooms are often very small. On arrival, the stairs up to the room and the room itself were very dusty and appeared to not have been cleaned properly for some time as there was thick dust on the mirror frames and skirting boards. The shower surrounds were also dirty, but the rest of the room was ok. One beside light did not work and in the morning we suggested they could do some dusting and repair the light. The dusting was done, but the light not repaired during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower modern and large. As with many hotels, small towels are provided and changed every day. During our stay the handbasin was never cleaned, nor was the shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms are above the Duke of Work pub which has a great wine list, choice of beers and food (although we did not eat there). There was no problem with noise from the pub at any time and continental breakfast is included although we did not eat it as we wanted to eat out for breakfast. On the last evening of our stay, they finally hoovered the stairs and tidied the place up. As a B & B owner myself, I struggle to understand how simple steps such as hoovering and dusting are missed as it gives a really bad impression of an otherwise lovely place to stay.

Very good but...
Lovely hotel, good breakfast and very well located. Only one recommendation would be to throw some drain buster down the shower plug hole as it took ages to drain! Other than that, fabulous stay.

A Hidden Gem For Travellers!!
Arrived 10pm,just 40mins until the end of "check-in window". We were met by a young man, who was working the pub bar. Didn't get his name, but wish I had, as he was superb in his welcoming; very friendly, and helpful. Nothing was a problem. Unfortunately, there is no lift,so wouldn't recommend for people with "mobility issues".We were on the top floor, so had to go up about 5 flights of stairs; not moaning, as we looked at it as exercise. Have told you to expect it now, so don't moan! The barman did offer to help with our bags. The room was a nice size, for London rooms. Extremely homely feel. The bed was just right for us, and the room had everything we might need; including power points in the right places(another rare bonus!). The only thing I could fault with the room, was the extractor fan in the bathroom, which didn't seem to be able to turn off; remedied by wedging the door shut(it kept sliding open. Not something worth moaning about). Breakfast was served in the pub downstairs. This was before opening to the public, so just other room users there. Breakfast available was just right; we had a couple of glasses of fruit juice, muesli, coffee, and toast. Could have had more, but was good enough start for us. Only a short walk to Edgeware tube,so good for transport. 24hr shop, and McDonald's just around the corner. Will definitely use again, as it is probably the best place that I have stopped in, in all the times I have been to London.
