Easy to get to, helpful transfer bus to and from Kawaguchi station and lovely rooms. The view of Mt Fuji from the bathtub is awesome! Breakfast is plentiful with enough for western travelers to enjoy. Free glass of wine and coffee in the lobby with a free snack was also great. We loved our 2 night stay here.

Overall a good choice to visit fuji. Great views and friendly helpful staff. The location is a bit remote and a car is advisable. 4th room was large enough for a family and views from room are good. Food is reasonably good but set menu style so works only if you are flexible on diet options. Hotel style is unique, a bit rustic and less modern but is ok and they have free wine every evening.

We loved this hotel. We picked it for the view of Fuji and it did not disappoint once the clouds had cleared. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are a reasonable size, the facilities are good and the breakfast is very good with plenty of variety (even for my wife who is vegan). We used the private sauna / Onsen facilities every day. (you cannot use the public Onsen / Sauna facilities if you have tattoos). we walked a lot locally and ran 5 - 10km every morning on the lakeside which was very nice. My only complaint which isn't a deal breaker is that there are no laundry facilities. As I try to travel light when travelling across a country for a long period of time, I rely on laundry facilities a lot. As this was our last stop before flying home, it wasn't too much of an issue. Would I book again? YES - WITHOUT DOUBT. Oh...and free wine between 3pm and 7pm.
