Sound people walking at midnight was too noisy. Lots of runners for Yokohama marathon woke up around 4am and prevented my sleep.

Exceptional staff and great location
If you want a capsule experience, Y's Cabin Yokohama Kannai will give you that. Staff are exceptional, location is close to many things, the women's bathroom is fantastic & the communal space is nice. Difficult to manage a lot of luggage, so avoid if you are not a light packed.

Worth a try
It was my first experience at a Capsule hotel. Overall a good experience. You'll have to get used to crawling into the sleeping area. It's fairly spacious but I'm small compared to average Americans who I think will find the a little tight for them but maybe not. Bath and toilets are immaculate. Security is good but Japan is a safe country. I was concerned there would be some noisy or rowdy people especially since this hotel us close to the night life scene but it was very quiet. Front desk was super. Overall very good, I'd stay there again.

Perfect mix of function and comfort
First thing you need to know about capsule hotels is that they are exactly that - a little pod with the bare necessities for travelers. Once you can get over this, then you will find that Y's Cabin is absolutely fantastic. The beds are comfortable, even if they are a little small. They give you a blanket, and a mesh basket with two towels and pyjamas. The room itself has a locker, a TV and a table that swings out. The bathrooms are also very clean, and have all the amenities you could possibly need to get clean, including a full set of skin care at every sink in the women's showers. You can also wind down at the end of the day with a relaxing massage in one of the massage chairs or in the foot massagers in the lounge. Perfect for if you've been walking around Yokohama all day. Breakfast is a traditional Japanese combination of grilled fish, pickles, miso soup and rice. For the more adventurous, there is natto, raw egg and ochazuke powder to mix in. All in all, this was the perfect place to stay in if you are literally just staying there to sleep at night. I think the lockers could be a bit bigger, but other than that, it was a great stay and fantastic for what you pay.
