Fair 4.0
The good: design of furniture and color scheme were lovely. Bed and sofa were comfortable. Staff were friendly. The Shoreditch area is fun. The not-so-good: The building itself is strange: tall, narrow, corporate. The common spaces in the lobby feel cramped and are not inviting as places to linger or work. There is a cold feel to the whole place, reinforced a bit by the lack of decorative or personal touches, even in the room: everything feels formulaic, and the constant branding ("Locke" everywhere) feels contrived. There wer also some specific problems: -- The kitchen is well equipped. But there is no coffee maker! Not even a filter, just two of those awful coffee-bags (like tea bags) offered at check in, which make poor coffee and are not plentiful enough for a stay of longer than one day. -- The bathroom mirror is very poorly lit, and is also awkwardly hard to access because of the large sink/counter in front of it. Very difficult for anyone doing basic makeup application. There was also no electric outlet in the bathroom. Huh? There were other small issues: they said that there would be towel and trash service once during my stay and it did not happen, there was a loud fan noise in the ceiling (separate from the air conditioner) that came on and could not be controlled from the room. The location is convenient but on a busy street, next to a high-rise construction zone. Overall, a decent stay, but not what I had hoped for.

Home comforts at Leman Locke
We have previously stayed at Leman Locke a few years back. Still a very nice and well located property but there are signs of aging..... though minimal. Mainly in the shower areas. Nothing a little touch up can't help. Staff was most helpful in trying to get us a room as we arrived really early that morning though without much luck. But we didn't have to wait long nonetheless. The room was well equipped with most facilities one would need for a short or long stay. On a personal note, the coffee provided in the room is way to weak and need to get our daily dose of coffee from the cafe downstairs. Great restaurant on the first floor with a wonderful bar tender. A must try.

Amazing location and great for extended stay
We spent nearly a week in London and stayed at Lemon Locke - the hotel was very modern and included a washer/dryer combo in the room which came in handy as we had spent the week prior driving down from Edinburgh and hoping hotels each night. Kitchenette was nice but slowly everything stopped working, first the microwave, then toaster then finally the fridge. But all were fixed after a call to the front desk which is open 24 hours. Less than a 5 minute walk to a grocery store which saved us time and money. Also less than a 5 minute walk to the underground - and we were able to access all the normal tourist sites in a 10-20 minute ride. The bedroom could be closed off from the living/kitchen room which was nice. The room was quiet and even being close the elevators we did not hear much noise at all. My only complaint is the bathroom, the shower is dangerous to climb in and out of as the sides come up very high. I'm 5'5'' and it was difficult, for my 5'2'' mother it was almost impossibly without injury. Overall I would recommend Leman Locke - location is amazing, staff helpful and friendly and although the restaurant was very hipster-ish - the food was good.

We stayed for ten days. Was exactly what I was looking for...complete apartment with everything needed, and staff downstairs as a hotel. Everything new and well appointed. Nice neighborhood with two tube stations super nearby, in the edge of The City of LondonThe staff very nice and helpful. The site states that they only clean after a week but in reality every 2 or 3 days someone came for a quick tidy and changed towels. Would definitely return.

Very good 8.0
Almost 100%, with a few finishing touches left!
The good of Leman Locke: 1) the location was perfect: short walk to the Underground, 2 supermarkets nearby, 10-15 min walk to Liverpool St station where you can catch Stansted Express to the Stansted airport (main reason why we chose to stay here this trip) 2) Amenities within the room: a well-equipped kitchenette was within the room with Smeg appliances (stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine). 3) Shower was fully equipped with modern Grohe fittings 4) Bed was comfortable (firm but yet not too hard to give a backache) Now the bad/not-so-good: 1) the condition of the hotel seems incomplete: there are bare concrete walls (unpainted) on my level. 2) I had forgotten to bring an travel adaptor with me (European plug) and enquired for one when I checked in. There was none available and so I was not able to use my appliance. Or so I thought. It was only on my last night that I found a powerpoint below the TV that was for EU plugs. I was a little disappointed that the front desk staff had neglected to inform me that there was one such powerpoint in the room when I had asked for the travel adaptor... sure it was my own mistake to have forgotten my adaptor, but it would be nice if the staff was able to solve my problem by just pointing out what was available in the room! 3) The doors of the rooms close pretty loud. It might be a problem for light sleepers.
