Quite expensive food and drink but lovely hotel otherwise

This is a solid 3* hotel comfort wise. Nice pool area, solid food, comfortable rooms. We would have appreciated an inroom fridge. Internet is shocking! There is NO free internet, even though it is advertised in communal areas, it hasn’t worked at all. You have to pay 30php per day, per device for in room WiFi, which is also terrible, slow and intermittent! There is also no 3G signal, so you are basically cut off from the internet through out your stay. The above would have been tolerable, but sadly the service was the worst we have experienced in the Philippines. The staff fail to distract themselves from their phones or conversations to serve you. The restaurant menu has an array of options that are never available (eg. Coke light and Coke Zero), we asked whether we need to book a morning tricycle for our trip, they said one would be available. In the morning there was no tricycle and the staff did nothing to help get one - we ended up walking the street to find one and narrowly missed our tour.

The hotel itself was OK although the pool was ‘out of use’ but we were offered to go to the sister hotel opposite and the pool was lovely. Staff were not helpful - we asked a couple of staff on a number of occasions about leaving to catch a ferry and we were told 3 different things, and they got the duration of the ferry wrong which meant we missed our pick up the other side. Staff were quite rude and tried to charge us for tours we didn’t do. Restaurant staff were difficult to catch attention and very slow.
