The staff here are lovely, I had a warm welcome from Zorro the dog. Rahol and the housekeeping ladies Nat and Hayley couldnt do enough to make my stay the best. The little issues that I encountered were resolved efficiantly and with genuine care by those 3 . Sunday roast was the best Ive had in a long time, I just wish I had more time here to sample more of the menu. I thought that the visitor's guide books in the bedrooms were a nice touch. Its clear that this family business is doing its best to update the place and improve all aspects of services provided. The forest Lodge will surely continue to evolve positively under this sort of attentive management... You couldnt find a better place to stay if you are looking to access Sherwood Forest and have a bit of a retreat, right opposite the Church where Robin Hood and Maid Marian were supposedly married. Edwinstowe is a quaint little village not too far from the City of Nottingham. Thankyou to all of the team for a wonderful 2 nights with you.
