A very happy Hogmanay
We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were fantastic, especially Kayleigh, the food was wonderful and the room was comfortable with a great view.

Lovely, snug and cosy
We stayed there for 2 nights. The staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. The portion sizes of the evening meals were huge. Nothing was too much effort for the staff. Also, as an introvert, I liked the fact they weren’t ‘in your face’ or fussing with you. They always had a smile and were just lovely all round. The area is extremely quiet, but what can you expect at the end of Britain. It was a mini break for me and my sister, and the hotel served its purpose. We didn’t spend much time in the room, because when in Scotland, you explore and go out and about, not sit in the room all day. It was lovely and warm and had a cosy feel to it. Honestly, I can’t find fault with the hotel, staff not food. The prices of meals and drinks are really cheap and like I mentioned, the portion sizes were huge. Hopefully we will return, but as we traveled from Anglesey, North Wales, it’s not a weekend get away for us. Just want to thank the staff at Seaview Hotel for making us feel welcome despite our tired eyes and a 10 and half hour drive.

I have no idea what Seaview is like in the summer. We came in the off-season, when the hotel was the only restaurant in town…a short walk to the only brewery and the only distillery. (I highly recommended both.) We loved the combination so much that we extended our stay. And there were nice things to do in short drives away.

A comfortable stay in a very clean room. Decor dated but no issues. Service in the bar for evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Only moan - given an access room despite other rooms available and the floorboard from the floor above very loud

It was an overnight stay on our journey to Orkney. We enjoyed an excellent fish and chip supper in the restaurant. The only down side came from some very noisy revellers in the early hours of Saturday morning.

8/10 Very good

We drove from Lands End to John O'Groats in a day and predictably arrived later than expected in pouring rain. We called ahead and the staff were accommodating and helpful. In the end we arrived in time for last orders. The bar is well-stocked and the staff chatty and helpful. Breakfast was good and hearty and again the staff were lovely. The hotel is a little tired in places and feels a bit spartan, but it is comfortable nonetheless. The towels need replacing as the existing blue ones are incredibly thin and small!

Enjoyed a few excellent pints and tasty food then a good night's sleep. Close to tourist amenities without getting caught in the traffic which I am sure is heavy in high season.
