Awesome Location, Friendly Team Members.
Stay was fabulous. The in-room amenities were perfect with daily towel changes / toiletries top up. Requests such as early check in / late check out were handled appropriately by the team. They do try their best, which is a very personal touch. Highly encouraged to consider The Ultimo for its convenience to the nearby Paddy’s Market & Chinatown. The amount of food options nearby were great as well.

Budget accommodation at Luxury price
There is a lot of things to like about The Ultimo. However,... Perhaps I chose the wrong room, but ultimately it was budget accommodation at a luxury rate. Allocated to a room on the third floor, I had a lovely balcony with picnic table which was very special. Access to the 3rd floor is via wooden stairs - lift only goes to 2nd floor. The bed was comfortable, and the room clean even though it smelt of bleach. I think the room may be for people who bring a pet which requires higher cleaning? Furniture was cheap. Plastic coffee cup was from Ikea. Plastic water cup. No glasses or crockery, and not available when requested. Hand towel was threadbare. A metal clothes rack to hang your clothes. Certainly not worth the money I paid for a mid-week two-night stay.

Nice place to layover
I had a very enjoyable stay. Was able to check in early and was upgraded to family room, which was great after an international flight. Very convenient to train system and only a couple of stops from the airport or downtown. Price was very reasonable. Plenty of Korean, Chinese, Thai restaurants to choose restaurants to choose from in easy walking distance.

Lovely heritage hotel
This is a lovely heritage hotel. The location is great. Close to the central station and in the middle of the chinatown. Very convenient. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly. I enjoyed staying here. The only issue was that the wifi connection was unstable. Also sometimes you hear the noise from the corridor.

On the whole a great location close to light rail and across road from Market City. Metro supermarket, 7 Eleven and Chambers cafe just outside your door. A gorgeous location. Ps They have a coffee machine in the foyer but make sure if you pay as you go, that it gets recorded on the system to avoid paying again!!
