Simple, Clean & pleasing.
Simple, Clean & pleasing. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. Very basic but for what we needed it was perfect. We had a private double room with ensuite. It included a fridge and a wardrobe in the room. There was not much space in there but for a place to rest your head not much else was needed, and also had a kitchen just down the corridor that had 2 kettles, 2 cookers, a toaster and a microwave.

Fine but noisy
Didn't expect the room to be quite so small, very noisy all through the night as our room was by the lift, rooms not soundproof. Bathroom smelled strongly of chlorine when we first arrived, no kettle in room despite stated as included, bed was very comfy though only one pillow each and no spares. No privacy curtains or blinds on window and our room was on the bottom floor so we couldn't open the curtains without people being able to see in, didn't feel very private. Only 4 minute walk to Hammersmith Station so good location. Good for the night and the price but wouldn't stay more than one night.

I stay here whenever I’m in London as it is convenient, economical with friendly staff and close to transport and shops. Great no frills accommodation.

You get what you pay for. Good value hotel.
Generally, happy with this hotel. It’s cheap and cheerful, clean and accommodating. The rooms come without any frills (but for the price I’m not complaining about that). Only a couple of issues... if you’re a light sleeper (like myself) you may have a problem. The floors are marble type tiles throughout, so there is very little to deaden any internal noise, and with shared toilets and shower rooms there is quite a bit of nighttime corridor traffic and noisy door slamming (unintentional I'm sure, but difficult to ignore nonetheless). The other issue is that quite a few of the beds do not have headboards and because of pipe work being boxed in at skirting level the beds sit some 6” away from the wall. Annoying if you’re a fidgety sleeper (like me) as you’ll lose your pillow. Anyway, neither of these would stop me staying there, I just have to take earplugs and sleeping tablets next time.

Abercorn House - Ok for 1 night
The room was very clean. The bed was comfy and clean. The space was tiny and the room was dated. No hot water in the morning was a big let down, but luckily we only stayed one night otherwise this would have been an issue.
