Clean, good price, lots of outlets
This is our 4th stay at this hotel. It is relatively new, so the hotel is clean and well maintained. It is very close to the Sengakuji station, making getting around Tokyo very easy. You can also catch the Sky Access train from Narita directly to Sengakuji station without any transfers. (There is an elevator that will get you up to street level, to avoid carrying your luggage up the last two flights of stairs.). Breakfast is good, although changes in the daily selection would be nice. The price is very reasonable especially when breakfast for two is included. Room size of 248 sq ft is adequate, for the superior room. Washer/dryer is nice to have. Besides the regular room amenities, the hotel has shower caps and umbrellas for your use, just ask. Note, they do not change your bed sheets daily or make your bed. They do provide fresh towels, night gowns and empty your trash daily. My only gripe was a policy to charge you 2000 yen per person per hour to check in early. I understand if the room is not ready, but an early check in fee seems odd, especially after a long flight. They will store your bags and take them up to your room when you do return to check in, and that’s a nice service. (Returning to Narita May be easier taking a taxi to the Shinagawa Prince and catching a limo bus.) I prefer the pace of this small hotel.

Will stay again!
Our second stay at a tokyu stay hotel. Love that they always come with in-room washer/dryer (not noisy, anyway there is a door in room to shut out any noise), so we just need to bring minimal clothings. Chose Sengakuji branch this time round as it’s close to Haneda Airport (just a ~25min direct ride!). We bought the Keikyu Welcome Tokyo subway tickets from Haneda that incl round trip to haneda and 24-72h subway tickets. A very value for money package. Takazawa branch, being a new branch, has many features that we love (though the other branch that we previously stayed in has bigger rooms)eg the automatic toilet bowl (opens by itself), the automatic toilet light (enters and the light on by itself). Con is.. they do not make up bed nor change bedsheets unless guests stay for at least 7days (in which case, bedsheets will still only be changed weekly). Towels will still be changed daily though. Same for wastebins, disposed daily. Though there isnt much around the hotel area, we love that its just 1-2min walk from Sengakuji station (exit a2), comes with escalators and elevator. There is a convenience store at the same exit, turn right after exiting from A2. But do that escalators are upriding only! So when heading back to Haneda, one has to lug luggage down the flight of stairs. Also, do only board trains heading to Haneda (look out for electronic display at platform), to avoid taking the wrong train! P/s: staffs who served us speak good English

I really liked this hotel. It was close to the station , there is a convenience store nearby. We stayed for 8 nights so it was very handy to have a washing machine /tumble dryer in the room. Also it was nice that we could take coffee ,tea bags from a basket downstairs everyday. We could pick what we wanted. You are given one sachet of washing powder at check in, so if you would like to use the washing machine more than once you need to bring your own. The only downside was actually not the hotel but the facility at Sengakuji Syston . There is an escalator from the platform to the exit but there is no escalator or lift to go down to the platform. I hope the station will do something about it, especially for the Olympics next year!

A hidden gem in Sengakuji
Great find in the Sengakuji area. We stayed in the residential double room, which was above average in Japanese room size. The ultimate bonus was the washer/dryer and microwave in each room which is unheard of in Japan and hopefully a new trend in the future. The room was modern, very clean and well maintained. The bed was firm but comfortable. A split AC unit was in the room, so it was easy to control the temperature. Bathroom is a typical Japanese hotel bathroom, with toilet/bidet and soaking tub/shower. The residential room comes with a mini kitchen sink and induction cook top. Dishes are provided, but you'll need to visit the front desk for cooking gear. Internet speed is decent, but can get bogged down in the early evening. The staff were friendly and spoke enough English to communicate with. The hotel location is about a 2 minute walk from the A2 exit from Sengakuji station, which has access to the Keikyu and Asakusa subway lines. You can access this station directly from Haneda airport, which is awesome for out of town travellers. Shinagawa station is only 1 stop away for access to other train lines. Would definitely stay here again.

Great budget hotel, other than one major issue
I stayed here for 4 nights on business. Super cheap for sure, and they really try to give you more than you pay for. Overall clean, very friendly staff, breakfast, even a washer/dryer in the room! But the room was very small and the window is right above the bed, which meant when it rained my face got a shower. But those are ok...the issue I had was bugs in the bed. Yes, twice I found tiny bugs in the bed. It's a shame, because for a budget traveler, this would be a great option and I would surely stay here again if not for this issue.
