Ribarska Koliba Resort

The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was very good with a good range of hot and cold meats, cereals and fruit. The pool was in a nice sunny spot overlooking the harbour. When we were there, there were very few people around the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff and the young lady on the deck was very kind enough to offer to drive my wife to the doctors. The resort is about 3.7Km from the centre of town, but it is an easy walk, or the bus stops right outside, which is easier than driving and finding a parking place. We hired the bikes and had a lovely afternoon riding to Premantura.

The hotel bar and restaurant looked incredible set overlooking the marina . I booked a junior suite room with very modern furnishing and amazing wooden terrace all very new stylist and modern furnishing. A treat to my family for our last night in Croatia. Only to be told at check in this room wasn’t available. ( problem with the pipes). They said they had upgraded me for free. However the upgrade was not entirely true I was given a two bed apartment which was nothing like the modern suite. . I checked and This was listed as cheaper on the internet so I complained and the reception spoke to their general manager and offered me and my family a free dining experience at their luxury restaurant. The meal was lovely but I was owe that meal because of the price difference but at least they offered. However I have found with most hotel experiences these day you have a opportunity to pick the style of room when booking but never seem to end up with the room I pick?? I no longer use bookings .com for this reason and was hoping my Expedia experience would be better.

We had a very relaxing stay at Ribarska Koliba resort returning home feeling refreshed and happy

The resort was well equipped with a great restaurant and bar with great views along the estuary, although about 2.5 kilometres from Pula town centre there is a reliable bus service just outside the resort. The rooms were clean and spacious although there were a couple of bits that had fell into disrepair which did not spoil the experience. The only downside was the noise from a party in the bar one night which went on to around 2am, we were right next door and it felt like we were in the party

We were quite disappointed with our stay, when we arrived we were allowed an early check in which was great. We got to the room and were told we were the first people to be staying in the newly renovated room. Our first impressions were great but looking a little closer things weren’t so good. There were 2 beautiful large balconies which both had no furniture on them so we could not enjoy them or the wonderful view. The ‘free wifi’ wasn’t set up, even after reporting it to reception the problem did not get resolved. Nothing was plugged in, the tv, the phone, the lamps... it was as if it hadn’t been finished. The shower was great but the water didn’t drain properly so it leaked into the living area and my 5 year old daughter slipped, fortunately she wasn’t injured. The staff by the pool seemed quite clueless, after trying to order a couple of drinks we were told we had to go to the restaurant to order them which we found odd as there were drinks available in the fridge at the pool. I did let the staff know about this when checking out but i have heard nothing, very disappointing as it was very expensive and we wanted a bit of luxury for our final night in Croatia but we were left quite dissatisfied.

Lovely setting by harbour. Breakfast very sparce. If you arrived 1 hour after the start most food was gone. Coffee machine broken.

This is a small aparthotel. The first disappointment was the very steep hill from the road to the hotel. We both have walking difficulties so would never of booked this hotel if this was made clear in the listing. Which it was not. Be warned. The hotel lobby is infact the entrance to the fish restaurant, the hotel seems like an afterthought. We were greeted by a friendly man. Our room was not ready so we headed to the pool. The pool is small but very nice. The only problem is there are only 9 sunbeds in total. For a total of 21 apartments. One area is grassed, this was full of mosquitoes and huge bee like insects. We could not relax . The pool food menu is very small and expensive. Drinks are ok price. Our room was a one bed apartment, marina view. The room was clean a bit dated in the kitchen area. Air conditioning was good. The terrace was huge but it had not been cleaned. It looked like a cat had been sleeping on the sunbeds and rattan furniture. As I am allergic to cats my partner cleaned all the furniture. (We did notice lots of cats in the hotel, and had to clean terrace furniture often. But I did expect it to be clean on arrival). The view from our room was lovely. The hotels is a bus ride away from Pula centre . Bus stop was up the hill on the road. Nearest supermarket is 15mins walk away in Park Plaza complex. Again either up hill to main road or along marina and up a very steep hill and four flights of steps. Two restaurants with 5 min walk. Would not return.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The property is very clean and beautifully kept with room cleaned and fresh towels each day. Good public travel links into town and the staff are also happy to help with arranging transportation. This is the second time I have stayed here and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook again if we ever came back to pula.

Lovely location- beside the vast marina and surrounded by forest. Excellent breakfast and a good fish restaurant . The large living area had a balcony and sofa with a bonus fridge and cooking rings plus utensils.separate bedroom . We could walk to a small supermarket and other restaurants. Only drawback was the noise from a Gala dinner that was on one evening .
