Staff very friendly, but rooms dated, furniture tatty, carpets worn and stained. Requires an upgrade ASAP. Not worth the money we paid. The bar also closed at 9pm! It was like going to a hotel in the 1940s.

Fab place to stay. Peaceful & relaxing.
What a lovely place to stay. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was a little dated, but kept in with the style of building. Evening meal was very nice and well presented. Not an awful lot of choice, but sometimes that is better! Breakfast was nice. Lovely to use the spa facilities. Peaceful & relaxing. Would definitely stay again!

interesting place.... nice spa
Booked an overnight stay to take full advantage of the spa facilities which were more than adequate. Could not avail of any treatments on the Sunday (bank holiday) as was informed of their “fullness” but yet no staff or bustle of there being too many people. Was able to get a treatment on the Monday which was wonderful and lunch was well worth it. Hotel wise it left a lot to be desired, bed was lumpy and hotel had no atmosphere as a hotel usually does but maybe the “health farm” side was too strong for us! Dinner was delicious although very light on the accommodating allergies side and although prewarned when booking, no effort had been made to accommodate my allergies, even after attempting to decipher the code on the menu and asked if I was safe to have a certain dish we overheard the chef suggesting “can they not read the menu”! Enjoyable two days in the spa and pool, jacuzzi and sauna were more than adequate! Would have preferred more availability and service (bar for example) while in the spa itself.Would return but probably only for the day spa and not overnight.
