Shocking
My stay this time was very dissappointing i was given a smelly room again after complaining bout that same room on my last visit , i was moved to a nicer room quickly . But this room shouldnt keep being let out . At dinner i was wanting ala carte but a waiter tried to insult my intelligence by telling me in a patronising voice that the bar menu was ala carte he even opened it and started pointing at all the items on the bar menu. When i finally sat in the restuarant i asked for a softer roll to which they microwaved to make it soft and exceptionally hot then within a cple of minutes was rock solid . I ordered duck salad which consisted of 3 strips of dry overcooked duck and 1 orange segment cut in half with the rind still on . The roadt beef dinner was ok although beef was well done not rare like i asked . Dessert was nice but for £35.00 it was poor. The waitress and waiter was nice except the long haired patronising guy at the start . The folleing morning i wanted a hot bath to help my back pain but mid way through i put the shower on to rinse my hair with the plan of continuing my relaxing bath although the shower was broken and woukdnt turn off so i had to pull the plug . Im actually really angry that after explaining all of this to the receptionist all i got was a business card explaining if i stay again they will upgrade me its insulting .

Home from home
Had to change rooms first one smelt but was changed without issue . Second room old fashioned but comfy and clean home from home feel all around hotel. Friendly efficient staff , good food reasonably priced . I sat outside upon checkout views were amazing could of been abroad if it wasnt for the chill lol. I had lunch before i left best prawn sandwich id had packed with prawns and came with salad and crisps for a very good 9 pound , id go back
