Historic but tired
Hotel tired, staff helpful but not well informed, for example two said the local breakfast diner opened at 8am whereas it opened at 6am. And it’s less than 50 yards away!

Nice historical hotel but noisy
A great location and an authentic historical hotel. What they fail to mention is that the Zane Grey Ballroom (actually a bar) is on the same hallway as the guest rooms and that the doors to the rooms are paper thin. The bar has no fixed closing time and can be between 8:30 and 11:30 pm. Until it closes you'll hear everything that goes on. There is nothing to prevent any of the bar customers from walking down the hallway in front of the rooms and you will hear anything and everything.

Living History
Ideal location for train travelers, one block from the station. Atmosphere plus, and Flagstaff, AZ "downtown" accessible. Lowell Observatory a few blocks up the hill.

Historic and well-located
If you favor cool old properties with historic charm, and don't care if the floors creak, you might enjoy this place. I do feel the price is high for a place with virtually NO amenities: no TV, phones, frig, barely room to turn around in the room. The location is unbeatable, heart of historic downtown. Two major complaints: though they advertise complimentary parking, in fact they have only 7 parking spaces (much less than the number of rooms), and unless everyone parks perfectly even less than 7 can park. We were directed to a neighboring business lot but told our car would be towed if we didn't move it before 8am. The other issue is the bar, which is very cool and popular with young people. You might enjoy it, but it's on an upper floor, in the midst of guest rooms, with no door or barrier to keep noise out of guest rooms. Our door was only 25 feet from the revellers, and some rooms even closer. Forget about sleeping before midnight.

Love The Weatherford
Staying at the Weatherford is always great! The service is always great, everyone is friendly, and the location superb! We are always fully aware that it is an old hotel and there is a bar close to some rooms, so sometimes it can be loud. I think this time we just got a particularly loud room with our neighbors and the radiator. Easily fixable with some ear plugs! We also enjoyed having eats and drinks at the gopher hole downstairs and the bar upstairs. We always go back to this hotel!
