If you want character, then this is for you. For the USA this is an old hotel, so the rooms and bed are small, and there is no TV. But it is full of character and a wonderful balcony overlooking the centre of Flagstaff. Also superb service.

Historic but tired
Hotel tired, staff helpful but not well informed, for example two said the local breakfast diner opened at 8am whereas it opened at 6am. And it’s less than 50 yards away!

Great Old Hotel Historic Place
The staff helped a great deal. They offered a room on the first floor. The hotel is very historic, Zane Gray wrote his book INTO THE CANYON there, and theZane Gray bar was actually used in a movie. The room was comfortable, the hotel was remodeled and updated recently, and the place is said to be haunted. When in Flagstaff, will stay there again!

Interesting historic in downtown Flagstaff.
The Weatherford is a beautiful historic building. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the round porch on our floor and watching everything going on in Flagstaff. Our mid-afternoon lunch took FOREVER to be served which was frustrating as we were anxious to go exploring. Food was good. Room was incredibly small and double bed seemed very small as well. Another time, we would ask for an upgrade to a queen. We enjoyed the historic building very much.
