Social history heaven
Glasgow is great. Very walkable with lots to do from history to modern art. The hotel is well situated for good food, shoping and transport. Ten min's walk from the main station and less to the other, the sub-way is only five min's away, is simple to use, cheap and gets you near to where you will need to go.

Comfortable stay but no fridge nor kettle
I stayed for 2 nights and other than emptying the thrashbin, I dont think my room was cleaned up. Not sure if that's the norm for scotland though. There's no fridge in the room, nor kettle and tea and coffee. The light was a little too innovative to manage. But overall, a comfortable stay and the staff were really friendly. Very near to the main shopping street.

Good 6.0
Travelling as a business traveller I was less than pleased on a Monday night to be woken several times between 11.30pm and 4.30 by teenagers running around, slamming doors and setting the fire alarm going. Whilst the hotel can't be blamed for the behaviour of the kids I would have expected that business travellers would be kept to a different part of the hotel from kids travelling on their own as I find in other hotels. That aside the rooms were clean and well maintained, but could have done with a little more storage than a few hangers on the wall and 2 really small shelves. There was also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and ironing had to be done in a dedicated room on a different floor. The lounge area was really disappointing and was quite basic.
